| True but I dont think that most of the women on here are bitter we are teenagers just expressing how we feel and whats going on around us now, its nothing new about SOME black men disrespecting black women but then you have to look at the way some black women act. Being a black teenage girl in this day in age is horrible I really hate it but you just have to deal with it. Anyways there is no resolution everyones just going round in circles.

The thing is that its a matter of preference in terms of upbringing. I like all women to be honest but i have a preference for non black women because thats the kind of women i grew up around. Its got nothing to do with being a sellout or not kowing ur culture or whatever man. The other thing is that because i grew up in a predomonantly white/asian/latino environment i dont think like a black person entirly. The same can go for a white guy growing up in a black community. They are going to think and act black to some extent, but they will retain cirtain aspects specific to their race. Take a look at Eminem. He may be a rapper and doing black music, but there are times when his music is a little heavy metal or rock like. He dates white women and his chioce of drugs that i consider "white drugs" like "Mushrooms,"E" and other hallucinogens.
Im like that too. Iv been listening to all the rap music i know since the days of RUN DMC up to now but i also like korn,Def leppard,Perl Jam, Chemical Romance etc. But rap music is my first love. Iv had black girls in relationships both light and dark and they have broken up simply because i wasnt "black enough" in mentality. Im in a relationship with white girl right now and i tell u its bliss at last. Shes even told i dont act like regular black guys on a couple of ocasions.
Most of my black friends beleive it or not dont even like light skinned girls, cos they think they are ugly. They run after the darker complexioned girls. And i have female friends who dont like light skinned guys like me. Maybe its cos they are African but i dont know.So maybe this discrimination is a two way fiasco that we are perpetuating without realising.
Ladies life is life, u just have to move on. You will find a partner one day but remember dont limit ur ureself to just ur own race. Cos that love could be white or chinese or whatever.

Im not on any side or anything but my question is this,,,,,,,,,,Why are most of you black women so angry at black men today. You have better opertunityz and are more succesfull career wise. Its not like the old days when women were dependant on men. Today lots of accomplished black women are single/single parents,,,, whats going on?
If black women need a man in their life does that man have tobe black?

And then some times it is about the personality when it comes to a light skinned sista v dark skinned sista because some black girls are just to hard to talk to or they are so screw face I think we scare them off so the opt for the easier target I have been told by few black man who date both But would love to married a dark skinned sista. being a dark skinned sista my self I know alot of men who do prefer darker skinned girls and have alot of respect for us nubian queens but it is all about the good old personality because in the end that what counts. We have to check ourselves and be a little more friendly to our black bro, maybe just a polite greeting on the street to show that your not so unapproachable might work.

to answer your question most black girl what a black man because they are strong powerful knowledgeable human being, let not mention ok lets a black mans body stucture it dynamic especially when fully toned OH MY GOSH! need i say more, they want is a black man they can be proud of and can bring home to meet the family.

Basically both sides are to blame. Black women are angry at black men for being lazy and just settling for non black women because they are too insecure to be by themselves. Black men are angry at the blatant anger directed at them from black women because they're dating outside of their race.
We all need self love before we start looking for love otherise we have nothing to offer. I was in a relationship with one of the most beautiful black guys and things were good for a while until our insecurities started to take over the relationship and we both played stupid mind games. I ended up reading 'In The Meantime' by Iyanla Vanzant (must read any books by her) and realised the reason why I found it hard to accept the 'love' he was showing me was because I didn't love myself (and the same for him). We split up and said we might get back together when we'd both grown a bit more but since then he's gone back to his old dating ways ie. non black because apparently they give him less attitude...his loss.
Back to my point though, black people are beginning to relate to each other less than before and it's really sad. We've all been blinded my the media(myself included..well I used to be) about what love should be like. I never stopped to think how hard it is for black guys to be emasculated on a daily basis because we live in a predominantly white society. White people fear him and degrade him, the media implies that he can only play sport or be a rapper, be a criminal or is a sex stud(Footballers Wives especially..don't watch it but caught a scene and got annoyed about how blatant the stereotyping is), black women cuss him out for not being on the same level as them (which in some cases is not their fault as white men love to keep the black man down) so they run to the non black women instead to revive their battered egos. Not condoning it but I can see why it's happening.
Some black men aren't black men anymore they are black males and there's a big difference. The males are the ones that tell you what they think you want to hear, don't stand by their word and generally don't respect themselves or others.
Black women tend to be stronger and won't settle for second best and date outside of our race just because of the need to be in a relationship(not all but majority would prefer to wait for a black man to show up rather than date non black). But on the other hand we are a lot less patient with our men than the non blacks and that's why our men are running away from us. We have to deal with not being represented properly in the media-either as sex mad, evil or coniving or all of the above, constantly have the european version of beauty rammed down our throats so we think we're not good enough and the harshness of seeing buff black guys with minging white girls or pretty asain girls who are using them because of the fact that they get street cred for dating them. That's why we might have screwface when you walk past us in the street.
And for the guys who see white girls as practice be careful because I know a bag of guys who all started like that and then got trapped because the girls got pregnant. DON'T TRUST THEM SAYING THEY'RE ON THE PILL OR USE THEIR CONDOMS BECAUSE THEY USE PINS TO MAKE HOLES SO NATURE CAN TAKE ITS COURSE.(Not saying all girls are like that but you've got to watch your back)
Black men and women need to remember that it was only 45 years ago that we were being hung from trees to die for minor things like daring to look at another white man/woman in the wrong way.
BLACK UNITY is the way forward.

Some poeple are really talking as if a light skinned blacks and a dark skinned blacks are of SEPARATE races........if a black man/woman disrespects a black woman/man ie, putting one above the other and making judgements about them its a BLACK problem, if a black man says to me "I would never marry a dark girl because .dark girls are......(enter negative steretypes here)......and I actually take pride in it as a black woman (as if I gain from that), there is something seriously wrong with ME........I dont know what has happened to SISTERHOOD and UNITY in our race, when we think for one to be up the other must be down.
That is one thing I actually dislike about the black race.................we are always telling one of our number, that for some reason we are not good enough for US (especially you men).............................this is the fruit of what white people have taught us. they really dont mind who within the race we seperate ourselves from, aslong as we are doing it.
If the truth be known its actually a battle tactic, we have all heard of "divide and conquer", people who are the same, whites will whisper to them, "dont you see you are different, you see these ones among you are like this, you are with these ones over here, you guys are like this...........why not separate? "
They make these "suggestions" all the time and we cave in on ourselves

light versus dark
Carribean v African....they dont care, its a tactic, while we are busy n being so paraniod about members of our own "family".......they come into our house and take our spoils........and we fall for it hook, line and sinker.

This topic is going to creep into a topic about mixed relationships because the thread is 'Why do black men disrespect beautiful black ladies?' which implies that black men are respecting some ladies, but it happens that they are non black. I've got an asian friend who's going out with a black guy and her mum went nuts because she was frightened that her daughter would 'darken' up the family line.
