Remember hypocrite you started the African on African bashing and hating, in your original post, so you didn't prove a damn thing as I did not insult you based on your West African heritage, but instead you insulted all East Africans. I did not and have yet to make fun of your heritage or ethnicity. Please revert to your previous post.

How would you explain Jennifer Lopez, and the white female on the show "The Parkers" or philipino friends that I have who have ample bottoms. Better yet are you stating that Ethiopians do not have "bigger butts" b/c if so you might be a bit shocked if you were to see my aunts, or other female Ethiopian relatives. Butts are not something distinguishable between Ethio and Somali females. Are you telling me that if you looked at a girl from the back you could tell whether she was ethio or somali? I find that highly unlikely.
Wow so Somalian women all of a sudden have kinkier hair hmmm, I had no idea as the majority I see have soft wavy non-kinky hair. Or atleast not kinky in the way sub-saharan Africans hair are, are you stating that they have the same hair texture? Because its known world-wide that they do not. The Somalian womens hair is one of the distinctive things that set her apart from other Africans. Somalian and Ethiopian peoples hair textures are not different! Often their hair is described as soft, non-kinky, wavy, long, or loosely curly.
Then we go back to the darker part. Everything else you've stated is incorrect, except the darker part, which is what you keep going back to. loool Ethiopians did not migrate, they have the same admixture of arabic/caucasian blood as all other East Africans do (i.e eritreans, somalians and some sudanese people). Lool the falasha jews are not the only types of ethopians there are many tribes, are you unaware of this? The way you speak about Ethiopians it's as if you're stating they're bi-racial when they have the same admixture of negroid and arabic/caucasian blood as other East Africans(i.e somalians, eritreans) *smh*

lool read a little closer brother, I did not state that Somalis were lighter, I agreed that somalis are as dark as most ethopians (i.e Oromos, Tigriyans and some other tribes), however, the most domininant lighter tribes within Ethiopia seem to be the Amharas I myself have not met many Falasha jews so I don't know about them too much. What I am stating is that there is no difference between the two, when it comes to their features. The features are all the same. Regardless of pigmentation *smh* .

Look at the Caucasoid sub-races part too. They say it includes Somalians, Ethiopians, and Eritreans. There is a picture of a Somalian man who is said to be a caucasian subrace.
Even if the web site put East Africans as a cacusoid sub races, it gives explanation by saying "East African: In the deserts and highlands of Ethiopia, Eritrea, and the Somalilands is found a concentration of several related Mediterranean types, mixed in varying degrees with negroes..."
My brother took Anthropolgy in University and I read over some of his proffessors notes as I was interested and I couldn't find many of them so I'm going to go by memory:
According to he and his team's research, there are 5 or 6 types of Negroids (I can't remember exactly, it's been a while), so I'm going by memory they are:
-Sudroids: The Dravidians in India
Australoids: The Aboriginies in Austrailia
Congoids: West and Central Africa, IIRC...
There is another "oid" for the East Africans (the Somalians, Ethiopians, Eritrean, and some Sudanese. )
Black Americans make up another sub-race as well.
East Africans and Black Americans have various degrees of Caucasian mixtures. For instance, we all know that there was East African/Arab race mixing which is thought to be 60% negroid and 40% caucasoid amongst many Anthropologists and we know that 50% of all black Americans have some white ancestry.
So, East Africans are not exactly pure Negroids... but we are Negroids. Race mixing is what differentiates us from other Negroes basically.

@MrBanks...OMG Thank U so much for that picture. I haven't seen a picture of the continent in a long time and so I often have a hard time figuring out in my mind which countries are where. And btw, doesn't Africa just looks like such a "Mother Figure" with so many different "eggs" in her womb. LOL. "She" just has such a distinct and symbolic shape. The gentle giant. I'd give her a big hug if I could wrap my arms around her.
I was a young girl when I came to the U.S. and I travelled home for the first time in 13 years last year. The plane I was on had no movies but there were T.V. screens in front of us that showed us how far we were b/w the U.S. and Africa. The longest part of this thing was when the plane was flying over the Atlantic Ocean. I decided to take a nap to pass the time. I woke up several hours later to find that we were now only 2 hours from our destination. The screen was now showing different W. African countries, their capitals, and the place we were going to land...Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.
The plane was now slowing down and descending and u could see the land outside. It was so gorgeous. I couldn't believe I was "home". I was smiling so much as I looked out the window but I didn't want anyone to notice. This feeling of nostalgia was sweeping over me. I got off the plane, walked into the airport, looked around and I felt like the little girl that left this place. Hmmm

Tyra, trust me I totally get you. I love the "are both ur parents from Nigeria?" or "Surely u must have some Euro ancestry". That last one was from my drycleaner. He's Jamaican and his granddad is Scottish. We talk a lot obviously...lol.
Well, as far as the whole Somali thing goes, I'm sorry I wasn't trying to be rude to you. What I was trying to get across was that this isn't the time or place to start arguing about whether this guy's opinion is a fact. Besides, if someone were to take a poll on which African women were the best looking U know for sure that responses would vary widely b/c it's a subjective thing.
But this is their parade and it is not fair to rain on it. Ppl should be allowed to express their opinion without fear women jumping down their throats. It's all about exercising humility.
U know the girls can always start their own thread on "men of which country are the best looking" or which black men of which country look the best"...heh heh. Now lastly, not to sound catty or anything, but in the last 12 yrs which African women have won the Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss Planet Earth pageants?

Sudanese range from the dinka to the arab more mixed sudanese which look very similar to Somalians in my oppinion anyway. Sudan does also appear to be in North East Africa not East Africa. Even East Africans don't claim the sudanese.
Although the majority of the Sudanese people I've seen have looked like Alek wek and very very dark. Even the ones that are mixed with arab tend to be dark as well. Anyways in my oppinion they are not the most beautiful at all. But hey thats just the way I see it.

I'm from North Sudan which is in north east Africa- not south Sudan where Alec Wek comes from. The northerners are mixed with arab blood and are muslims , who happen to be the most beautiful people ever, and the southerners are junubis' (very dark skinned) who are christians.

Sorry girl this is a mens forum not an angry, jealous sudanese girls forum looool
Sundan girls are not sexy at all they are actually unattractive to me...The majority I've seen are a jet coal black, where you can't even really see any features all you see are red eyes loool SCARY. The arab mixed ones aren't even all that great looking either, maybe 1 out of every 10 even looks good. The only reason some can even say they look good is b/c they resemble many East Africans. Hey since you think your people are so hot, why don't you go out with your hot sudan girls as I know I don't want to and the people I know don't want to looool.
Being a Male in a Males forum I say my oppinion is that Sudan girls are horribly unattractive for the most part. Most of the ones I have seen are incredibly "BUSTED" . The ones I thought were even remotely attrative looked like Somalians. But for the most part I've seen higly unattractive sudan women.

from East, West,South and North Africa they are all gods creations and are all exceptional beauties. They are all diverse in their looks and are all beautiful. Obviously some men will prefer some to others but those are their oppinions allow them the freedom to have their own oppinions women!
By the way from the pictures that were posted on the first page by Tony, those women are very beautiful. Regardless of whether they are Ethiopian or Somalian or Kenyan, but as Tony has said they're Somalian then they are representing the beauty of thier country exceptionally well.

one must stop to think why somalis are so defensive when it comes to the issue of Racism. The only conclusion one can come to after pondering this is that because they are. Being an east african who has lived with somalis and become accustomed to their ways it is apparent that they are good people but also active racists. If the somalis sister wants to keep it real she should own up to the charge plain and simple instead of owning up and defending it. she complains of animosity towards them and yet they fail to ask the question why. If it is one thing i have learnt it is that somalis are very good at alienating themselves and it is this consistent alienation that leads to conflict with other peoples. They even alienate, to an extent , former members of the Somali community who moved and decided to live in other parts of east Africa namely Kenya and Tanzania.This group are refered to as Sijui , meaning i do not know in Swahili, hence implying that those who emigrated are lost. The term has often takes a deragotary meaning.
The above stated facts are not unfounded and any who dispute(are welcome) know deep down that it is the truth. Some point to the issue of Islam ; but if this is so why is it that the other "black" Muslims of west africa get one well with the rest of their people.
Own up ,accept your faults , do something about them , then you will be keeping it real.

It is individuals like this that hamper any efforts to unite. denying you are black is one thing but refusing to be African is another. Let me remind you one thing ,before the white man came and partioned East Africa you were an african people . While I understand that some of what I initially said could be deemed as hurtful. I will apologise after reading such heated posts as the ones written by cutie.
You ask what has Somalia contributed to the world. Well, in terms of kingdoms within Africa, Somalia was a part of the great Aksum empire you may not know about it as you yourself are not African. Before Somalia was even known as Somalia it was known as the "LAND OF PUNT" it is reffered to in the bible in many passages as well as in the Quran. The country was also under the kingdom of Cush. Their trading partners were the Chinese, the indians, the persians, the greeks. Many things that were transported to these countries were found in Somalia such as frankessence.
The great Pharoas of Egypt traded with the Somalis and considered them to be great people who resembled them. Many of the frankessence and things that were in Egypt were found in Somalia as they could not be found in Egypt. One of Egypts greatest gods was considered to be the keeper of Somalia, this "God" or deity was considered to be the mother of "rah" the son god I believe. With Hatshepsuts explorations into Somalia she found that the people reflected her own people very much and they became great trading partners,and she mentions the people on many occasions.
There are many Pyramids in Somalia up to today from the explorations Hatshepsuts made and the ties with Egypt. There are even drawings and carvings of the Somalis "people of punt" on Queen Hatshepsuts pyramid walls. Not to mention all of the greatness within Somalia before the arabic/caucasian infulence. Somalia also produced the really first black super model that America has ever seen. She herself experienced an immense amount of hatred from many AfroAmericans; who hated the fact that the modeling world felt that they had to find black beautiful women in Africa, they taunted her and said that SHE WAS NOT BLACK! but rather a white women dipped in chocolate. She recieved more love from the whites in the modeling world than she did from her black counterparts. Read her biography you will find all of that in there. Now you tell me would that not be hurtful to anybody? Those are just a few things that I thought I would share with you CUTIE. As you were so kind to share your countries greatness with me.
Now that I've read through many of my original posts I see how harsh and uncalled for many of my comments were. When I initially stumbled onto this forum and read some of the harsh things that were said such as one person called "GEMINI" wrote f**k CARES ABOUT THE SOMALIS. I thought I would mention f**k cares about the Jamaicans, but it was obviously wrong and for that I apologize.
Cutie you state that I am jealous of the Jamaicans. I could never be jealous of the Jamaicans as I have a culture of my own that is deeply rooted into Africa's overall history. I love my continent most and foremost and then I love my nationality. I am an African and could never be jealous of someone who is not. I myself do not immitate Jamaicans and never have as I do not find immitating them appealing at all. In all actuality there is a very small proportion of somalian children that do immitate Jamaicans, they are young themselves and do not know any better as they were brought to this country very young. I want to make it very clear to you and very apparent that I have never and will never in my lifetime aspire to be Jamaican ever! Please get that straight. As far as the Trini thing goes, I go only from what I've seen my bestfriend is of Trinidadian decent she hates being refered to as Jamaican in terms of looks or culture or characteristics and according to her and her family many of them do. I also have a friend from Barbados who is the same. That is what I have seen.
Also you claim that Somalia would never be a tourist designation. Quite honestly if it was not for the idiotic and foolish civil war. It would be one of the most beautiful tourist designations, as it has the longest coastel beach in all of Africa, the weather is immaculate. The buildings are beautiful and they look like arabian palaces with their archeticture. It is like the tropics with its beautiful jungles and natural wild life and opulent year round weather but it also has that dessert element to it as well. If it could be it might even beat some of the many travelling hot spots to date.
I aplogize for my previous comments. Through the course of me being in this part of the world I have recieved more hatred from blacks especially people of Jamaican decent. Who have caused me to hate them in turn. However, now I am dealing with those issues. And trying to become that person that I once was before coming into contact with those people. I still hold the ideology that all cultures have bigots and prejudice tendencies. ALL! However, I am trying not to feed into that so much. Once again I aplogise for demeaning anybodys culture in here.

West Africans like most African people are very proud people I have seen them look down on Somalian people and the same can be said for Somalian people. Both cultures are just so proud of who they are and where they are from.
