...Seeing as how most of us Diasporans in the West are mixed race ANYWAY...it shouldn't be that hard to accept them as our own.
Damn near a quarter of "black" people are as light as any half-white person, so to call THEM one thing and call a half-white person of another race is silly.
I mean....
Just LOOK at these 2 girls and tell me which one is "black" and which one is "mixed".
 
Can you tell? 
If you wanna call people with a white parent "mixed"...what about those of us with white or Indian great-grandparents?
How much of a "mix" do you have to have before it's considered a "mix"?
If 2 mixed people have children together what would THEY be called?
Are Fredrick Douglas and Malcolm X no longer considered "black" in this current system?
If a Jamaican and Dominican have a child would that child STILL be called "biracial"?
 I've warned you all time and time again that we should be mindful and hip to the games that our enemy tries to play on us by separating us from one another.
Obviously a person with a white parent isn't EXACTLY the same as one with 2 brown parents but the "one drop" rule has finally worked itself in our favor.........let's not ruin it and lose what little unity we DO have.
The only thing we need to be doing is establish and agree upon a name that includes our entire family instead of allowing the enemy to compartmentalizing us, word-bond.

Leeza, you should be with who you are attracted and if it is only to black guys then that is great. But too many black women who are attracted to all races of men will deny themselves the chance of meeting and possible having a meaningful relationship with a man of a different race because many of us have been taught that it is taboo and that we are somehow less respectable if will date outside our race, that we are self-hating, that we are insulting black men and disgracing our race and history if we were to marry a white men. Large majority of black women need to come in to the 21 century realize and their self-worth and that they have the right (just any other race of women) to choose the man to be with, be he black, yellow, white, red or purple!

I understand what you are saying. But I am extremely passionate about it and white girls have tried to set me up with white and spanish guys because they felt we complimented each other and would have a great relationship. I stopped them dead in their tracks and told them where I stood. No friendship was lost and no more of that kind of matchmaking occured.

I'm a strong black sister with no experience of dating white men and i dont think it's the way forward for "black women"  .
i agree with Kareem by stating that our black bruthers have "sometimes" less to offer in socity compared to other races, but that leaves us black women to support our men so that they can also achieve and develop into stronger and better members of socity and the workforce 
from my own personal experience of my own black bruther is that he was a typical "Thug" but from meeting him, loving, nurturing and encouraging him he has found it within himself to better his life and our life together. he has transformed from a street thug to a respectable and loving gentlmen which i'm, proud to call my fiance and soon husband
so i say bigup our black bruthers and stop putting them down
but after reading everbodies comments the only statement i can say is that if we were in a perfect world we wouldn't be having this debate because god has made us all in his image (black, white , yellow or green) and he told us to go forth and multiple (he never said whites go and multiple with whites and so on ).
therefor who ever you choose to multiple with is your individual and personal choice.
but we are not in a perfect world and we have currupted our minds with all sorts of ideas which has seregated the entire world from each other.

@ jo don't watch that adpoted son of the brady bunch aka kareem,Black men are and have been getting persecuted in the most covert and cohesive forms since the beginnning of the 20th century, ( see on tired lame excuses here thats how its been with out even reverting back to slavery.), some women might use that as excuse to look else where but to me I am proud as a Black man to know of all the contributions we have made to the every day lives of those in the western world, check these list of famous inventors whom I know plenty never knew of or were taught about in school.

I think it's wrong to force your opinions on others, namely children. Fair enough if you want to only have relationships that's fine, but your children should be able to make up their own mind about who they want to be with.
