mine is THE SKIN I'M IN
because it really moved me on how the gal in the story confronted her bullies , and the story also related to sum problems i had in the past.

| Mine is 'The Stand' by Stephen King. The one i've got is the re-released version, which includes bits that weren't in the original. Fabulous,/i'm a big fan of King's work.

| My favorite book is relatively new. Its title is Motive, Means and Opportunity: Probable Cause for Indicting George W. Bush, his Sponsors and Aides for the Attack of September 11, 2001 (ISBN 0-9652664-4-3). This is a book that should be read by all people who refuse to live in denial about the criminal activity of the white power structure.

A Time To Kill by John Grisham. I read the book before I saw the film and it's been stuck in my head ever since. I think it's because the film actually did the book justice, especially the twist at the end where Samuel L Jackson's lawyer delivered his summary (that part wasn't in the book). More time when a book is made into a film the film doesn't do the book justice for numerous reasons, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The Silent Twins by Marjorie Wallace. I saw this book on my mother's bookshelf, the title caught my attention so I read the back, then I put the book back on the shelf. I did that a good few times before I actually took the book off the shelf completely and started reading. This book is so intense and gripped me so much that I was crying at the end of it. I was drawn into the lives the twins lived as if I was living it with them. If anyone reads this book they would know exactly what I'm talking about

| Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison and Another Country by Jame Baldwin...I love the way they depict the lives of African Americans between the 1920s-1970s and the way they're written....magical!

2) "The River Between" by Ngugi - absolutely fantastic, we need to learn out of books like this at school instead of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" over and over again!
3) "Men Cry in the Dark"- can't remember the author
4) "Things Fall Apart" by Chinua Achebe

I like all the Harry Potter books and I've read them all......
Omar Tyree: Flyy Girl, sequel- For the love of money, A do right man, Leslie, Sweet st Louis, Just say No and single mom......I love the way Omar Tyree writes.....
You must get Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman....Brilliant book! its about a white man and black girl that have grown up together in a racist world.....However its different the Blacks are the superior race....
