Don't Bother

The book is an occultic deception to set people up to recieve Anti Christ.

Stay with the Bible and Writers who profess the Lordship Of JESUS CHRIST Then you won't be decieved.

Its only fiction, nothing wrong with a good dose of fiction now and then, dont take it so literally.

It's deep.

But Briefly, the book presents a central tennet of new age/occult/satanic philosophy.

The insinuation in the book is that there is  a wisdom(gnosis) or hidden truth (occult) in  relation to Jesus Christ.

In this time in order for the Anti Christ to be accepted the minds of the people have to be turned away from the truth and authority of the Jesus presented in The Holy Bible.  This is being done right now via education systems, media, entertainment, social conditioning and popular religious and spiritual movements.

Furthermore certain groupings of people whose existance you may not be aware of unless you have undertaken  a study of the hidden aspects of world systems, have an agenda due to their submission to Satan.  Part of this agenda is attitude and value system change ("hearts and minds").

Da Vinci code is part of this  agenda.

As for Nerd's comment, I presume that he is of  the view point that

"IT'S  ONLY A FILM"

"IT'S ONLY MUSIC"

"IT'S ONLY TELEVISION"

"IT'S ONLY A MUSIC VIDEO"

YET these are the main cultural front ends through which popular ideas and concepts are disseminated and carry massive influence on thought process and ideas. Via subconconscious implanting.

This is particularly so with entertainment since ideas attitudes and concepts can be recieved without
critical evaluation
.

This is the psycho spiritual war that is being waged against all truth daily.

It works why do you think companies spend millions on nonsensical adverts, it works !

So therfore be very careful what you expose your mind to.

Best to keep your mind exposed to the truth of God's spiritual revelation.

By the way in Part 2 of the Da Vinci code you will "illumined" to the real truth about Jesus, that he did not die on the cross but escaped to Europe married Mary Magdelane, and his blood line  descendant is about to be revealed.

Stay In The Light

I read this book recently and I quite enjoyed it...it's different from any book I've ever read b4. I'd give it 4/5.....why? because it transported me for a while and made me think about things....I didn't take it seriously as it is fictional and it served it's purpose...well for me anyway

The  apple looked good to eat to Adam way back then.  Satan will cloak every forbidden thing to look good.

What exactly do you find interesting about it ?

Why would you spend your money on something which attacks the core of your faith and trys to nullify the power and authority of Jesus Christ. Especially when there are so many edifying books available.

In this manner children of God following after the world have opened doors of confusion and deception

leave the world to their madness, or pull them out, don't join them in it

@ naturalnice

You read it (or so it appears) and it seems to have not changed the 'core of your beliefs'. Why would you think others are incapable of reading it and being similarly unaffected?

I haven't read it.  The deception is well known to me.  And it is not new.

Every time you spend some hours reading fiction,  that is precious time deployed, that could have been used in the aquisiition of knowledge.  This is one reason so many people are lacking in knowledge and remain uninformed about important matters.

Even if I read the book,  being clued up and grounded in the truth.  I can spot the agenda a mile off.

This would not be the case with most people who spend more time mired in popular culture than in earnest pursuit of truth and understanding of the times in which we live and where we are heading.

Ignorant people are easily manipulated

Ladyday, i would say read the book and see what you think. I am halfway through the book, and i am finding it very interesting. It is a fictionalised book based on SOME facts. I am a Christian and while i do not agree with everything i have read so far this book, it will not affect my faith. If anything it has made me want to read more deeply into things this book touches on.

I read the book while studying abroad in Germany with a group of friends from the university. By the end of our stay, every one of us had read the book...and we all loved it.

The book is well-written and I was flipping the pages as fast as I could.

Even though it is fiction, there are some parts to it--the church's role in the destruction of the female goddess, the secret society, etc. holds true throughout our times.

I absolutely recommend this book.

They are also making a movie version of this book as well.

I wonder who they will cast...

I read that article in the mirror yesterday evening...but it is a fictional novel...it would only really be worth consideration if it had been marketed non fiction...it is semms to be a take off of holy blood, holy grail which is marketed as a non fiction book...

I have read it and found it really boring :(

Actually, you can borrow it, read the chapter set in the library (chateau de la villette) [the revelations] and you know everything. Worth knowing what is said in it about religion but the pseudo-romance/chase/enquiry is boring!

With a 1/2 page summary, you can have all the details of the complaints against Catholicism, that is why I found it unnecessary to have them in a book!

I was like yeah right..'another white mans perception'.... I actually preferred his fist book ..'Angels & Demons'.. found argument btween Science n Religion much more insightful, engaging etc.. to the guy that disagreed.. I hear ya loud n clear.. and to think millions of people read it and think its hot stuff.. pity they just don't know.. :?
