i ask becasue i'm very interested in writing screenplays and, because you've done both, i wanna just see how to make the transition.

i mean, i have the novel writing and short story writing down but i'm not so sure about the screenwriting!

Fernando...

The transition shouldn't be too much of a problem. You just have to remember the differences between each form of writing....of course a book is going to be more detailed than a screenplay naturally. Due to time constraints...they want you to tell the story quickly with a screenplay. plus keep the attentin of the aduience.. Of most of the contests I have entered, they want it roughly around 90 pages....a page equals to about a minute on screen.

Also remember that the formats are different as well. You can purchase any of the major software brands (Dramatica Pro...ScriptThing, etc...) to install on your PC...they do all the work...the only thing you have to do is put in your story and viola!...you got a screenplay. niceone.gif

@ Fernando....

I just read your last post...thanks for that encouragement. I have no doubt that will happen for us.niceone.gif

I have another question, If it's been asked already my bad. About the title, I think I have an idea as to what it means and how you came up with it but could you please tell me why you named your book Who is my Brother's keeper? and is there any particular meaning behind it?

Are there going to be lots of passionate episodes between the characters? I'm talking real detailed....(feelings/emotions as well as physical action).

I had an author in mind but i cannot remember her name for the life of me...she writes real erotic stuff....gonna try and remember.

;)

well i first thought of the Bible quote of Am I My Brother's Keeper? but then, after a search, i found out that there is already a book wit that name so i decided to change it up, and, also, chnage the meaning.  i didnt want it to see like someone was asking themself a question, because that would change the whole view of the book so i thought that, by asking the question, and with all the people in the front cover, it would work better as you have options as to who my brother's keeper could be?

Plus, with the story itself, really based on black man's survival, it seems that they are working to look after each other.

well there is plenty and i mean PLENTY of sex scenes in the book, if i had to count them, i'd say there is about 8 DETAILLED sex scenes with physical movements, what that physical movement does to a man mentally, what it does to a woman mentally, the aftermath, sweat, heat, positions, etc.

So YES, there is a MORE than enough sex scenes for those of you who like a quiet read in the bath......alone with your.......thoughts.

Why don't any of the characters have African names, especially as you're from Nigeria and there are alot of people directly from Africa in London

the two characters who are nigerian have nigerain names but they dont mention them, although they do come up!

their surnames are nigerian as well but its not really about their names or where they're from, its about how they make it from now! where they are, where they live, etc.

but there is enough coverage of nigeria in there!
