Has anyone read it yet or thinking of buying it?

There's an interview with Duwayne Brooks in this week's New Nation. I bought the book around 3 years ago when it was first released but I lent it out and haven't read it for a while. They withdrew it when Doreen Lawrence took action but apparently it's going to be released again in stores (thankfully).

It's a very interesting read and a real eye opener.

I heard an interview with Dwayne on Choice FM - Angie Lemar, and she asked him about his friendship with Stephen, he said he did not recognise the Stephen that the papers were talking about, then Angie said something to the effect of, because you and Stephen used to share a bed! Dwane's response sounded quite suspect, I then got the book out of the library.

It was a very sad and interesting book to read, I cried a lot when he spoke about the incident - it was really, really sad. It was also real sad to learn that the Lawrences (Doreen) did not invite him to Stephen's funeral.

Do you guys think that the murderers will even serve time for their crime? I mean now the double jeaopardy law has been over turned!

Its the last book I have read.

Man eye opener is an understatement. Let me say this.. if Duwayne's account is accurate.. (and I have no reason to believe otherwise) Stephen Lawrences parents contributed in the fact that their sons killers have not been brought to justice. The way they cut him out of the legal process/ the contempt they displayed for him which extended to his lawyer.. not representing him properly.. which allowed the police to take this piss with him and play of with the fact he was ignorant of his rights... its bad ..real bad.

By failing Duwayne they failed their son Stephen.  Man every African in this country got to read that book. Ive got nothing but respect for Duwayne and nothing but contempt for his parents. Bad mind kill dem.

There was supposed to be a re-release, don't know what happened there though. However the good news is there are still some copies left for purchase and you can get them here:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0955268907/202-8423792-8172633?v=glance&n=266239

I just received my new copy today and will come back on this later.
