This book sizzles from cover to cover--a real page turner.
I love his writing style which gets better with each authorship. The letter, words, sentences, paragraphs, pages and chapters all combine to sound authentic.
By Chapter 7, I've guessed the relationship between Genevieve and Kenya. And as I siphon the ending, I am right!
EJD books are ready for the "big" screen. I've read them all: "Thieves Paradise, Naughty or Nice, Drive Me Crazy, Cheaters, Sister, Sister, Cream in My Coffee, Between Lovers, Liars' Game, The Other Woman...except...Cafe noisette."
And if you are lucky you might even add a few words to your own vocabulary list as I do with every single book I read whether it is fiction, non-fiction, technical or scientific!
Word Glossary
pg 56, uxorial--of a wife; regarded as befitting a wife.
pg 146, banal--drearily commonplace and often predictable; trite: “Blunt language cannot hide a banal conception (James Wolcott).
pg 209, bestialize--To represent or portray as an animal or beast; To reduce to a bestial condition; deprave.
pg 237, tantric--any of a comparatively recent class of Hindu or Buddhist religious literature written in Sanskrit and concerned with powerful ritual acts of body, speech, and mind.

Fine
PS There isn't anything simple about this brother. He has evolved into one of the best writers out there...

HI,
I read this book as well and loved it. Eric Jerome Dickey always finds a way to create interesting characters and stories.
I coould relate with Genevieve and her need to improve her life. The dialogue between all of the characters kept me entertained through the entire book.
I love the fact that when I read his books I always learn something new.

Life_Voyager Lol! Think she'll have a fight on her hands....saw many women looking at him with that 'look' in their eyes esp whn he read the 1st page of the book! You're right - he was smiling a lot...dont know how he manages it, having to see so many people aaaalll day. Apparently theres something on Saturday aswell so you know the mans been working all week...but hey you have to keep the fans happy - sure he has a healthy cash flow from it with all those books he spits out!

| I finally finished the book and all I can say is .....amazing I would love to see this on the big screen....Not a dull moment in the book and the way he describes the scenes....the emotive language he uses throughout.....just wow......I'm a big fan of Omar Tyree but he has some serious competition....
