Do you belive that there is such thing as telepathy, claivoyance and so on?

If so what do you think of it all... Have you experienced telepathy or something like that?

All comments welcome, religious or otherwise.

Yes I do but equally there are a lot of charlatans out there and they get everyone tarred with the same brush.

And people have to overstand it's not like a tap that you can turn off or on at will; it's something that usually just present itself - not hollywood stylee either lol. And although I find it is always 100% accurate, a failing would usually lie in our judgement or lack of faith if you like or failure to interpret it exactly.

I remember watching  a 'wildlife' programme, (they actually called it that initially, until they swiftly changed it to 'Disappearing World'), about a tribe a film crew were following.

They showed tribesmen going out to look for honey. All the womenfolk left behind knew exactly when the men found it and they started to yell and whoop, (or was it sing a song, lol), but anyway - you could tell the commentator was amazed/impressed but he tried to cover it up with some thinly disguised dismissive remark.

I believe it is in all of us but so called 'modern' living prevent some of us from knowing it even exist.

Very much do and believe women are far more predisposed to have those abilities. My healer who is a sister from my county has powers which are frightening its accuracy.

While reading New Scientist this month (one of the better issues) they mentioned that it was far from unproved and if anything the evidence thus far tilts slightly in favour of ESP... Methods to test it and theorys of the mechanics involved aren't around yet but I reckon that will come with time.  For now all we have is annecdotal evidence which is usualy leaves me a sceptic but in this case... I'm undecided.  I've never experienced or seen something to convince me but then I can't logically see why not.

I've never been able to grasp how birds in a flock move in unison and turn so quickly in patterns together nor fish in a shoal.  It happens in microseconds, way to fast for the birds/fish to be watching the lead one for clues.  I reckon somehow they already know what it's gonna do.  To some extent we might have some variation of a similar abilty.

offtopic.gif

From a (speculatory) evolutionary perspective I wonder if it is an old trait which was made redundant by growing civilization in ancient life or if it is a new thing brought on by closer group living and complex social structures we have now?  The latter is more exciting to me perhaps because it can lead you to thinking perhaps we can get REAL good at it...

yep - without a doubt.

If the history of mankind is the history of evolution.....then why should we believe that our evolution has ended here with Homo Sapiens? We are still evolving and gaining new abilities. We are still becoming...

I no longer use the word coincidence to explain away things.

Lord have mercy as I live and breathe. DM aka The Watcher has seen the light. When I clicked onto this thread I braced myself to her what the African sceptic had to say because last time we reason on this my man was in the anti camp.

I slipped out of the thread because I was preparing for a new and senior post and I did not say on the thread what the healer told me and not suppose to either at that stage. My healer told me in such precise terms what was going to happen at each stage of the selection process. Told me why I would get the job and how it would come about.

Everyword to the letter she said was proven right.

That's empirical enough and her performance rate on specific issues is extremely accurate.

Hell yes.

We're not even using a quarter of our brain power. Our ancestors were on a much higher mental/spiritual plane and did things we probably wouldn't be able to comprehend today.

The Third Eye is more powerful than we imagine.

@ Fred

By nature I am a cynical sceptic yes, but a position of rigidly not believing anything is as stupid as gullibly believing everything.  Also if one can't flex and change your opinions when new evidence or good arguments come to you then you're merely obstinate and unable to grow.  I don't consider myself a stick-in-da-mud!

clp)

At times people aren't in tune with themselves enough to know what it is when it comes round. Makes me wonder if its acutally the ancestors telling you what is going to happen or what is happening. Scientifically... *casually looks towards TW* I used to think it had to do with energy and a persons relation to another person just as twins can tell when the other has been hurt I thought it would be more likely that a person would have a sixth sence tuned towards family members and close friends, prehaps we all share a frequency that some people can pick up and others can't. Its  the distance and time that it happens that intrests me.

I remember watching  a 'wildlife' programme, (they actually called it that initially, until they swiftly changed it to 'Disappearing World'), about a tribe a film crew were following.

They keep a lot of secrets. Amazing people.

Being psychic must suck sometimes though, imagine knowing someones pain or what someone is going through and stuff.

@ Apademik - "Do you belive that there is such thing as telepathy, claivoyance and so on?  If so what do you think of it all... Have you experienced telepathy or something like that? "

I totally agree with you Saida.M and Prince HAkeem Re: our third eye.

I used to be so much into taro readings and palmistry but as Saida.M pointed out there are many charlotens out there who make a mokery of those who really use this gift wisely. As Prince Hakeem pointed out about the third eye, and Saida.M re: we are all gifted; I believe we have to become free from all impurities to wake up the third eye and thus be shown many things.

I used to get this thing where I would hear someones name (that I knew) on a regular basis; either someone saying it or I would constantly see it when reading something; it was quite a wierd situation, anyhow I would then hear or see that person. I consituted that as that person was thinking about me (telephathy)

Yes I do believe.  Great topic by the way.

Kinda sounds like syncronicity.

My uncle used to have a knack at making things like that happen with the TV. One time in particular was well uncanny. We were all watching some film and my uncle said something which was then repeated by one of the actors can't remember what it was he said but as soon as he did it was repeated word for word on the TV... shocked everyone... my uncle then said, ''Wow... its like magic!?'' and guess what the actor said next....

I belive in all things mystical, had a lot of expirences that I won't go into, funny that some people from diffrent cultures don't even consider it to be anything diffrent...  because the west is so spiritually deviod 'we' watch ghost programs and what not as though its something new and no one has ever managed to explain it in the thousands of years that we've been on the planet. Either that or the europeans are seriously slow.... then again I have another forum I go to chat about things like this in (much) greater depth and its mostly europeans on there.

Adepmark. Tell what sucks have mad powers and not being able to use them for personal gain, because I know a couple of sisters who are powerful, but struggling like most of us and live very ordinary lives.

@Blessingsfromgod. We all have these powers or capacities but at various levels and most of us it is really low. But women tend to have far more advanced capacities than men and it has to do with the left/right side brain dyamic and also biochemical stuff. For example I know women who has as much powers as a old wooden table until they gave birth and sh*t just kicked off from there.

I have always known I had powerful sense of intutiton which is an essentially feminine charactersitic, because I can sense danger or deception extremely fast. Thing is from where I am standing it doesn't feel fast, but those who observe or in that situation with me always turn around and say how the f**k did you know that or work that out so fast or anticipate X and then counter acted with Y.

Later on in life through reading. I am fascinated by this area and when I have some spare time I read up. But what I found out recently, after reading some serious horoscope books is that my star or Plutonian Scorpios are exceptionally intuitive in the dark side of human nature. My healer uses astrology as well and always says never try to fool a scorpio they will smell in their sleep.

Because one of the major powers of that star sigh is its dominance of all things emotional and the ability to pick up emotion with a radar precision. According to the litearture it is the balance of powerful radar like emotional machinary and cold calculated logic of the Scorpio mind whether in love or war which according to these authors make them well suited to research or investigating or getting to the bottom of things whether by fair or foul means.

So this stuff is heavy and deep. But everybody has these things in different mixes or measures or combinations.

Peace.
