why not moi vis le paris?
"moi vis le paris" would be just as strange as "me living the paris"
btw rachelle c'est la musique "classique", t'es déjà une vraie anglaise

lol, i am so far to be a really english!!! just a bit absebt-minded sometime!"! (classic / classique = same sound in my head!)
Anyway, why not "moi je vis le paris" lol : actually when you talk about a place and a city in this case you dont have too say "the or le". Just the name of the city its enough! Consequently you can say, if you want "moi, je vis paris". and i must admit in our every days language we say very often "moi je..., moi je" but in a formal language "je " is enough.
i heve too say, that is some details and you will pay attention to them when you will practice french very often... if you are in france and say "moi je vis le paris" people will smile (of course!!) but understand. it exactly the same for me, im still making big mistake as she don't like something whereas she doesn't but poeple understand the idea!!!! ( i hope so anyway).
i was wondering why you why you want to learn french, maybe you plan to move down or something. anyway the most important is too well understand the basic rules first (you know how buld a sentence = sujet + verbe + complement) and some useful vocabulary and after listen fench poeple talking, watch tv and things like that and french will come easily to you!!! im saying that because it is how i learn english here.
well, well you probably already know that. i better go back to work!!
bye
Rachel

Salut petit parisien!!
i am in lancaster only because my job is just wonderful!!!! actually last year i had my degree (DUT techniques de commercialisation) and after that i wanted to take a break in my studies and learn english!! where i live in poitiers there is a great association which help young people do do a work placement abroad. then they found me a placement in a fairtrade company, in a marketing position. the only problem was the company was in lancaster!!! then i hesitated during a long time and eventually i said yes because i though it cuold be a good experience for me and for my futur carreer!!! and that is it!! i love what i am doing, i am in a wonderful project to end poverty in Madagascar.... and now i am not in a placement anymore i am a real emplyee!! so i changed all plans i had!! life is sometimes amazing!!! and the company want to move in manchester asap, so it will be definately better than here!!!
at the meantime since i am in uk, i really think that live abroad is great, i learn loads of diferents things, meet new people, i love it! and now i just want to discover an other country and the more i think about it, the more i want to move in USA, but doing what ??? that is the question!!!
Anyway, if you can have the chance to leave france, do not hesitate one sec... is too go to see something else. don't think i dont like france, i love france and miss it a lot but i want so much to see the rest of the world!!
bye bye compatriote
Rachel

Salut huskagee, Rachelle,
Merci!!!!!!!!!!!
Commment allez vous?
Rachelle wrote, "i was wondering why you why you want to learn french"
To be perfectly honest with you, I already know few other languages, it will hance my education goals. I will be finishing school next few yrs, and would like to travel around the world to do community service with non profit organizations in the summer sessions, French West Africa is the first region I have in mind right now. I'm also trying to learn Italian (lived there 6 months, haven't learn anything, all jus what I already knew). With this changing world, languages are very important for interecting with the world communities.
"basic rules first (you know how buld a sentence = sujet + verbe + complement)"
yeah, that's what I'm studying right now.
huskagee, "what do u say bele? on the other hand, guess it wont be too hard for me to find a decent american princess to get a greencard, probably in queens..just like coming to america...just playing i hope that i will get the job with the UN, so i can easily head over to new york"
I say, good luck to you, these days Bush doesn't have no love for the Frenchhhhh!!!!!!!!! .
