| Wow there is so much ignorance being expressed; I couldn’t give a dam what skin tone a girl has, I just go out with people I like no matter what colour they are. More fool me for forgetting just how narrow minded people still are. It has never occurred to me that I should stop and wonder if some one is too dark or too light for me, in fact I would find it hard to think of anything less important.

Well u people must have skipped english class  because if u know what a m-e-t-a-p-h-o-r is u would know that's what the title meant. You know an attention getter that went way over your head. It wasn't meant to be taken literally. And then I went on to explain myself genius. Wow some of the people in this website have rocks for brains.

Realistic, all your doing is talking negative which no one wants to hear. The way some blacks put down others, that's what your doing. Not all blks talk about weaves, and light/dark blks. You are the reason other blks hate being blk. You haven't said one good thing about us. If you have kids what do you teach them? You are not black. So on a job application what do you put, other? why is being black such a big thing? segregation and all dem days are ova can't we just appreciate that we weren't alive in those days and that we live in a improved society and that it was our ancestors who went through all the sh*t?? at da end of da day yeh at least u not mixed race like me and u dont know wat to identify urself as. b proud of wat u r and dnt let stereotypes get u angry b an individual and if u dnt like da conversations you having with people make new friends that you have something in common with so you're not stuck listening to the same old stuff.

thank you maria1. I guess some of the people didn't read the rest of the post. I don't mind the comments though. I'm not going to let a few uneducated apples spoil the bunch. Most of the people here are very educated and cool. I've gained alot of great info and opinions from this website.But see how easy negativity breeds negativity it went from a cool discussion to this. There's nothing cool about this discussion when you have a negative view of the black society,..not everyone thinks like the way your potraying us to be ..
You should spend more time concentrating on your punctuation,.. grammars and spaces below

I have to agree with realistic101, I read the topic, but then read the comment and understood where she is coming from.
I think it did hit a raw nerve, sometimes it seems like some people are pretentious and any negativity will be seen as putting black ppl down.
I am a guy, and there are times when me and my friend have talked about the same thing realistic101 wrote, but from a black guys point of view, but then we always finish it off by acknowledging that its just a phase.
And I am pretty much sure that is what she was going through when she wrote that correct me if I am wrong here realistic101.

You're welcome - like you, I think this is a great site, with some very thought provoking and informative forums, but I don't like the abusive language that I've seen on this thread and other forums, as I think it lowers the tone of the site, which is a pity.

At first thought, OH LAWD, hmmm........never mind. I have to say though upon reading the post, I AGREE. You will find that most of your destractors didn't read yoru words........or maybe they read the first two lines and summed up an opinion based on that.
