As some one who goes out raving quite regular, I have to say I'm getting board of the scene,
Would anyone know of bars or other places that have inteligent young people who have jobs and are not "promoters" and"MCs" etc
look forward to your thoughts

| Depends on age, but trips and plenty of them to museums, exhibitions, theatre, plenty freebies around. Quizes. Kids love them if they get something at the end and basically organise things for the. Take them away some where in a group etc.

Twista... have you tried comedy jams, Poetry evenings or plays in your local theatre? Or have you scanned the Voice/New Nation newspapers for upcoming events for your age groups? How about joining certain clubs geared for your age group (i.e) Drama classes, activities you find interesting or joining your college/uni student union!
Remember to meet with like minded folks you have to network in the places that are of interest to you.

I am 19 and quite frankly feeling raved out. From wen i reached 16 i took my fast self to over 18 raves every other weekend, n den wen i got to 17 it was every weekend, den last yrs summer wen i turned 18 i was out several days a week, every week.
Den i met my current bf, and da raving kinda became less frequent, den it stopped for a while. Den ill get itchy feet to go out, n ill go raving n come home dissapoined n stinking of smoke. I tend to avoid going out because i just think it will be a waste of time because its bin a long time since ive been out n enjoyed myself.
Ive found other things to do, like meals wid big groups of ur friends, u can chat catch up, and eat, ice skating, shopping, hell i even went to a zoo. But l8tly ive bin itching to go raving again, n im goin out 4 new yrs.
There are other things to do to socialise and enjoy yourself, its jus gettin out dere and trying new and different things.

Stay in, find a hobby or something. Evening classes, learn another langauge, etc, etc. Plenty of things to do.
Bars, Pubs, Clubs and intelligence isn't a combination you'll see all that often especially with young'ens.. Gutter trash talk is everywhere.

cant remeber the lasttime i stepped in a club. these places have everything i detest.
if you cant find a better hobbie then you need help. you v gotta have some mental problem to frquent these places every weekend.
i just see losers when ever i go there infact i feel like one. especially when the night ends when im dragged there by friends scraed to go alone. after its over im like wtf? i spent almost 30 on drinks and iv been stepped on my shoes all night. wtf ? did i gain fromt his sh*thole?? uh??.
to tell you the truth i go there to laugh at my friends and similar losers who go there sweating to pick -up women. and get turned down or get lucky and nail a girl in the toilets yep real fun. since im not a sex driven person these places dont apeal to me. and not to mention it has the one thing i hate most about humans and the social setting which is braggging (something i hate) and vanity.
i laugh at these asian greased hair slimballs with there 40 qiud shirts they boguht jusat for the night, and end up standing there looking at women? whats so special bout women anyway? why some men drool over many women ill never understand. dont get me wrong im as straight as they come but i can control my horniness.
only time youd see me in a club is if some artist i like is performing or a friends having a party. otherwise i aint wasting nish on clubs. i had a friend who ran a club i knew their slimy strategies they used to lure usless menm in. get hot women at the cue and idiotic men run there like dogs. they even pay these women to smile at some of these men. sometimes they get people to stand in a que--- these people are all paid to make it seem the club is the banging spot to be. anyway im bore and had nothing better to do so i wrote this sh*t.
if you over 23 and got a little braincell youd try lounges. these places are more mature and relaxing. my friends think im lame for wanting to spend the night bowling with some girl. i tell them yea weteva.

There is so much out there.
Me personally I don't class myself as a clubber/raver. The last time I can honestly say I went to a night club was about near 3 years ago, when I was doing degree.
During my degree I went to a few clubs but only every now and then/ if it was someones birthday. The novelty of clubbing wears off so quickly for many because they go way too often. For many people it was kinda like a religion, even if they were skint they would still break the bank simply to live it up (supposidly) for that one night.
The funny thing is watching these people when they are drunk hahhahah hilarious. The biggest joke is that some of these guys would waste £50 each week on clubbing were the same people who would be complaining at the end of the year for being so overdrawn (financially). The same with the girls, who drink more than the guys now, you see them forking out god knows how much for a dress they will only wear for that one night.

Why not stay in and attempt to transend the mundane through meditation? Or practice tantric sex with your spouse... study a far flung escoteric teaching? Take up Vodun and try catch a duppy?
Much more intresting than raving.
