I was waiting in line at a store today when I heard a comotion going on in front of me, human nature and thing I started listening to what was going down ( although I didn't have to strain my ears to much to hear! ). Some huge burly white woman was cursin' the Indian woman serving her because the lady gave her £5 in coins instead of a note, the woman was going mad, but the lady told her ( politely ) that she didn't have any notes, the big white b**ch shouted at her to give her her money back so she could go to another till she don't want no coins! What difference does it make its all money at the end of the day!. Anyways the Indian lady went to the till I was being served at and I gave her the £5 note I was about to use, I felt sorry for the woman.
Instead of being cool this white ignorant b**ch went on to tell the Indian lady how rude SHE was and cursed her some more!.
Now if that wasn't bad enough the rasshole women went outside where her child was waiting and started shouting " that dirty P*ki b**ch wanted to give me coins, f**kin P*kis i'm sick of seeing 'em in my country!" blah blah blah!!
Nobody said a word, not even the Indian man who was serving me. Now what the rass is that about?. I went outside and told the fat b**ch straight " you racist b**ch with your 6 kids living on benifits, how dare you talk to that woman like that? shes paying your benifits whilst you sit on your arse having kids that will probably end up doing the same bullsh*t that you're doing" This woman didn't say one word to me, I spat at the ground where she stood and walked off!.
I did have a fear that she would come after me and do me something, she was huge, but she didn't do one sh*t!
Maybe i'm naive, maybe i've been sheltered living in a 100% black community, yeah theres white Bajans but we don't mix, i've never had a white Bajan friend in my life. But I've met white peeps from England b4 I came here and they all seemed cool! Maybe they act different when there on vacation but i've stayed in touch with tourist from all over and seem friendly to me.
This has truly shocked me, I don't know why the lady stood there and took that, maybe she was scared, but I don't know if I wanna stay over here anymore, I feel I would end up in prison on an assault charge if anyone spoke to me like that!!!!!
I can hear Barbados calling me home.
I just needed to get that off my chest , thanks people

Your naivety innocence is kind of cute, but please, why do you care what 2 racist people do to each other?
Do you think if that white woman was calling you the N word that the Indian woman would have even thought about your feelings? Cmon now, i know you keep talking about how all benovelent everyone seems to be in Barbados, but aren't you aware that the rest of the world is f**ked up?
Take a sip out of the evilness of the real world and stop feeling for whites or Asians.....quite frankly if it was me, i would have opened a can of drink, called my mates and have a good laugh out of it.

LOL I was thinking of expressing the fact that I don't give a flying sh*t about either of those groups, but I didn't want to get stoned on here so I thought it would be best to keep my thoughts to myself.

I have problems with this..........
Not with the incident, with you.
1. Why did you take it up on yourself to defend an Asian when if it had been reversed, she would not have defended you?
2. If the INDIAN MAN did not do anything, to help the woman, why did you?
3. Why did you risk yourself to an attack simply to get something off your chest, what if the burly white woman had other people with her you did not know about while you were defending the Asians?
4. Why did you post your defense of asians on blacknet?
I am not knocking you, but you really should pay attention to who you defend....

I am not knocking you, but you really should pay attention to who you defend....
I understand your points, and I didn't defend her because she was Asian, I was shocked at the blantent Racism that the woman so openly showed. Like I said maybe I am naive and stupid for putting myself at risk for someone else, I was just so disgusted that I couldn't keep my feelings hidden.

There's nothing wrong with your actions at all, you did what was right but just make sure you don't put yourself in a situation where you are vulnerable to attack too!

Rastawoman: back in the day..when Asians and Blacks were a lot closer against the war in racism.. I would have done what you did and put that cave b**ch straight... However NOW..sorry but I agree with the views of others I just wouldn't do it now... I'm sorry to say this but Asians have sold us out on the issue of racism.. They sold out with their open collussion with the Tory party and sold out in how they treat us in their shops..
So no way I would have said a damned thing on their behalf...

While I understand that Indians would never rush to our defense, I can see Rastawoman's point.
I would not have been comfortable to watch that ignorant woman carry on that racist rant... she was probably too scared to start with sistah-girl because she would have rightfully knocked the stuffing out of that chav cavewoman.
It's the principle of her feeling free to abuse people that would tick me off. It's hard to stand by and watch injustice unfold.
As far as I see it, that Indian man was a pathetic, emasculated w-ker.

| You see, the thing about this situation is that Rastawomen, i agree with, that it was right that she spoke her mind about this womans blatent racism. She wasn't defending her about the stinking 5 pound note, cause either way the woman would have been pissed if the person at the checkout was white, chinese, or black anyway. You see blacks would have not tolerated that shyte from NO white cave person anyway, cause if that was me i would have rammed that womans head to the floor and made sure she knew not to talk to me like that.

I can't talk for anybody else but I've never looked at a whole race as an enemy and I hope I never do!. The reason I was shocked is because I've never seen anything like that b4, of coarse I've heard about it but to see it with my own 2 eyes is something completly different.
Don't get me wrong I've seen white racists b4, most white Bajans are very racist, but i've always put that down to our islands history, there great great Grandfathers were our great great Grandfathers slave masters!!!we don't mix at all, nearly all white Bajans have real money but there still a lot of poor black peeps that suffer daily.
I suppose I presumed English peeps where different, like I said b4 I've met quite a few when they where on their vacations and I always got on well with them. To be honest my Uncle always told me not to put my guard down and to stop trusting white peeps at face value, he said that as nice as they might seem they would never want me in there family, maybe he's right, maybe you're right maybe all white peeps r our enemys, but what a miserable world that would make it!!!!
I know i'm young and i've got a lot to learn, this is my first time off of my little island that I call home, i'm like a fish out of water. If doing what I did or my shocked response offended anyone or "pissed off" anyone i'm sorry, I hope I've answered your question.

I would go ever further. Don't trust anybody, be they black or not. I have learned the hard way that's just because somebody is black doesn't mean he will back you up. In anyway.
It was a noble action of you, to intercide. However be careful, don't create enemies unnecassarily. Since the asian man didn't feel the need to actmaybe shouldn't. The reason is that this woman migth later give you problems because you commented ib her racism. Yes, I know the propability is small, but non the less. We should not take risks. Despite that I am glad that there a noble people among us. But then again everything has its place.
The issue is that, when (some) white folks start blatantaly displaying their rascism towards "asians", one can assume that black folks aren't far behind. When they are finished with the asians the'll come for us. Thus keeping the "buffer"/buffert/shield (the asians) alive might be a good plan. Until we become invaluable for britain. Let's face it, most black folks won't leave Britain until at least there countries become similiar in terms of comfort.
In terms of economical might the asians are probably more powerful than we are, thus losing the asians or event threatning them might be something whites in britain may regret, not to mention that their homelands (in particular India) are becoming increasingly powerful and as such influencial, once again meaning that they (whites) will have to be very careful before taking action.
We don't have the same economic platform as the asians (the asians for example are trying to get monopolies on a few things by competing out non-asians, thus making them invaluable within these areas) as the asians and therefore have to act carefully and strategically on these kinds of issues.

I think people are looking at this completely wrong. I think you are being racist saying that Asians are "Selling You Out," sorry but thats bullsh*t. There may have been a minority of asians who may, as you say, have sold out, but the majority are decent hard working citizens. Its pathetic that yo are summing something as serious as race as selling out. If racism is going to be stopped at all then that includes everyone, including black people, to stop making these stupid assumptions about any race. Rastawoman, you did the right thing completely (apart from risking yourself). This woman is a disgrace to her race, as would any asian, black, chinese or whatever who did a similar act. Its a shame that a minority from every race basicly ruin equality for everyone else, and cause there own race to be tarred with the same brush.
