This has truly shocked me, I don't know why the lady stood there and took that, maybe she was scared, but I don't know if I wanna stay over here anymore, I feel I would end up in prison on an assault charge if anyone spoke to me like that!!!!!
Man Indians are all like that. They take alot of sh*t from whites. My theory is that Indians in general are the most docile and submissive people on planet earth, but only to the white man. Indias history is full of Shame especially the colonial history.

Why do you and other people keep on saying that Indians love white people? Just looking around generally and quietly observing situations, and even seeing how white people percieve me personally, I think that black people are obsessed with white people.

they DO love white people, look at the majority of indian women powdering their face so that they appear lighter. they have a caste system in India where it is taught that white is right, hence all the actors in bollywood films are really light skinned, and darker skinned dravidians don't get a look in. i have had experiences where indians will try and disrespect me infront of white people, so that the white people will like them more. and as for black people being obssessed with white people, i disagree.

'I hate the P*kis, but not you lot' ....I used to think ALL black people felt the same when they heard that comment but apprently not.
Yes asian people do seem to kiss white ass, i guess they aint as strong as black people in that way ( i say this because rascist people where i live are NEVER rascist to any one black or mixed, only asians. They are afraid of black people )
When i read posts like this a feel SOOO good to be mixed raced i swear. Its like a blessing. Im not deluded by stupid and ignorant, black, white, asian, chinese, mexian, spainish, (and all the rest) people because being mixed raced its impossible for me to belong to one race. And no that dosnt mean im confused, it means i can see the confusion in everyone else (including stupid and ignorant mixed raced people).
When i was younger i thought it was 'brown people' against ignorant white people. Then i got older and thought ignorant asian people against ignorant white. Now im thinking ignorant black white and asians people !!! So sad to lose hope in yet another race. I am generalizing, but i dont hate on any race just the RASCISTS. Well actually i feel sorry for them. Its almost the same as realising father christmas dosnt exsit. I must thank all you ignorant people ( really need to stop using the word ignorant) for making me see the light!!
How can you only be affected by black rasicm. You're either against it or your not....
The worst thing is some of the people on this forum seem so 'intelligent' yet the comments they come out with are unbelievable! I might as well go on an NF forum because they seem so intelligent with thier facts and sh*t i would almost believe them if i was, STUPID! Ive been on an NF site before and they way some people talk are here- its just like them !
Had to get that off my chest, and btw no im not against black people or any other race, embracing thier own, infact i love people like that. I just hate the fact i assume good things about something and then realise it isnt as nice and good as i thought...like everything else in this world ( by that i mean realising Some black people are just as rasicst as any other race can be )
I dont want this to be some mixed raced thing, because really i would feel this way no matter wat colour i was, it just happens to be i can see it more clearly because im mixed ..

Bigup!! Rastawoman 4 sharing with us what you experienced. I feel you loud and clear. I was also brought up in a black community sista, as black as it gets, in the roots, the motherland Africa. I have been living in UK for a short while and I have'nt experienced racism but I know its hard to be a minority race in a western country, back home the few white people where not hated or discriminated against but here, to be black, P*ki, Indian seems to be a crime. They say they brought civilisation to Africa but civilisation is being civil towards others - they know not civilisation. Im sorry to say, Martin Luther knowed not civilisation, brother Malcolm did, and it seems you do.
lets try to find ways to really be civilised, the pain hurts, it has been hurting for generations!!!

I did have a fear that she would come after me and do me something, she was huge, but she didn't do one sh*t!
Maybe i'm naive, maybe i've been sheltered living in a 100% black community, yeah theres white Bajans but we don't mix, i've never had a white Bajan friend in my life. But I've met white peeps from England b4 I came here and they all seemed cool! Maybe they act different when there on vacation but i've stayed in touch with tourist from all over and seem friendly to me.

@Rasta woman - yes, you are a little naive but it is not a bad thing. I wish we could all still be shocked and moved into action by racism... no matter how we find it. I hope u never become cynical because in any fight, if u cannot reduce people to the lowest common denominator (ie our humanity) everything becomes a matter of collateral damage. That is, for me, the ultimate definition of cynicism.
your actions were about you and who you are as a person and had nothing to do with the worthiness of the woman you defended. You saw a wrong being done and you spoke out against it. Maybe ur actions made no difference at all...or maybe they made all the difference in he world. Who knows. But I for one, as a believer in personal responsibilty, think you exemplified all that is good about us.
Dont ever let some one else define you and cause you to be a lesser human being than you are. Then "They" (whoever you define the enemy to be) - would have won.
Continue to be outraged by bigotry and cruelty no matter who it may be perpetrated against. Never apologise to anyone for that.

First of all, Well done. You are a fantastically brave person and I applaud your courage.
You remind me of my mum. Despite how other treated her, she would always do 'the right thing' - she would not think of people as her 'enemies' but would always fight bullying and racism in whatever form.
Now having said that, I have seen a million and one times when I and others defend asians from racism from whites. At school, work, etc i have seen it so many times.
I have never seen an asian defend a black person from racism, and secondly, many times I have seen asians who have been defended from racism by blacks have themselves gone on to commit racist acts. I have seen this so many times now it is getting to be a joke.
In the UK some whites genuinely don't like asian people, but like blacks due to similiar economic circumstances.
Personally I would have done the same as you, but I should warn you that in the UK people often call up cousins and the like and you could have been attacked.
Nuff respect though, but think about what people are saying- don't think that asian people would ever do the same- and don't trust whites, blacks, asians or anyone else.

I'm still around sometimes, just haven't looked at this for a while.
Reading over this today has shown me how naive I really was when I first landed. I saw something that day that I had not experienced b4. I've been here for over a year on and off and have witnessed quite alot of racism, but I still stick to my beliefs, if I see anything happening infront of me I will speak up, I can't take that kind of behaviour and ignorance.
This country takes a bit of getting used to, but I know I have matured since first reaching here, you have to grow up when you move away from mummy lol. Quite funny reading over this again
