Hey ladies, I really want to know what girls expect a guy to say when he chats them up. Personally I just say hi and introduce myself which works sometimes, but most girls seem to expect a good chat up line. Is there anything wrong with my approach?

personnaly, i hate chat up lines, they suck

well personally i dont know what a good chat up line consists of cause they dont exist chat up lines r for desperate manz be urself i know what doesnt work.....ssssssppppppppppttttttt,oi,come ere,buff ting,my gal,look at me,wat u on.......manz u sound desperate with these approaches try being polite and dont over stare!!!!!!!!

Ask her if you can take her out for a drink or a meal or evening, pictures anything but the above! I FIND THIS THE BIGGEST turn off when the man does not even know you yet.

well when a guy comes over to me, i expect him to introduce himself properly. if were in a club dont just stare at my assets cause i will walk away, smile at me and ask my name. Maybe u might get a response.
But just be yrself and chill with me, enjoy the ride, one thing a sista can't stand is when a bro stars frontin, ooooooo i hate that sh*t.
but what ever u do dont just come up to me and say - "have u got a number from me". cause i will just tell u to piss off.

To be honest guys, I'm surprised you have to ask. Surely all the girls that turn you down at raves and on street should give you some idea. I can only speak for me, but honesty is the main thing.Please don't front by lying and saying you drive this car and earn x amount of money, if you really don't!
The chat up lines are played out, and I can't really beleive any girl responds positively to those, " Your dad must be a theif cause he stole the stars and put them in your eyes" really doesn't make you sound attractive or sexy, you just sound dumb.
Be creative but be yourself. A simple, Hey, how you doing? usually works. Personally, I don't like being touched by some random bre, so please don't touch. Whistling or hissing doesn't work either we are not dogs or snakes, we don't respond to animal noises. It makes you sound really desperate.
The staring which sometimes borderlines on stalking is really off putting and a total turn off! Be polite, compliments might help if they are sincere.

A word of advice from an older thirty something Women.
I agree, just be yourself. I personally find chat up lines corny and a big put off!! Young Men, A Young lady dosen't feel special or unique if you use lines on her that she has heard before or knows that they have been used on other women. Just introduce yourself by saying "hello" or "hi", and make small talk relevant to the situation or environment you are in until you both feel relaxed in each other company and can take the conversation to a personal level. Even if you don't say much, if a girl finds you attractive the she will invest the time to talk. When I say attractive, I'm not just refering to looks; I am talking about the way you appoach her, your body langauge, attitude, presentation - a girl notices all of this before your guys open your mouth!! If you don't get a response, then simply move on, some other young lady will respond. One thing I would say guys, approach a young lady with sincerity and not falls hopes i.e. don't give a girl the impression that you are serious about her when your not, and the real purpose of your appoach is for the sexual challenge, to booast your male ego and to add another notch to your belt to compete with or impress your boys!!! That does'nt maketh a Man, but a immature, insecure boy.

Then they will say somethin like, "i dunno i guess you just come up to me and ask."
Reply: "well wut if it was just a guy like me instead?"
She says something like: "well i guess same thing u just ask."
Then you ask her out by like :"ok would you like to go get lunch with me?"

listen baby am just being honest and i am a beautiful person. But really i was just joking, it was just a little light hearted humor thats all. But it is quite clear that if a guy is attractive and a girl is at a club or whatever, and he approaches her then and she likes him she will be flattered and possibly talk to him.
but
if he is not that good looking he will have to use his imagination to chat up a girl. - am just being honest.
And i am not stook up, please i just know what i want to hear when i guy comes up to talk to me. If he just says oh yeah baby, yr nice eee. Then i dont wanna hear that cause i know he has said that to a million girls that night.
and
i know it is about personality, but at the same time it is about looks, lets not lie here. Because if your attracted to someone then u are attracted to someone, and that is a chat line within itself. hahaha
so
dont give me any of that looking in the mirror crap, cause am just fine, thank you.
oh one last thing
yeah and it is because i am from the caribbean i am beautiful, the same if i was from sudan i would be beauitful or if i was from angloa i would be beautiful.

If you want to chat to them you should go over as it is you that wants to talk. Then once you have gone over to them smile and say Hi I noticed you and I was woundering if I could talk to you for a while. Then say something nice and not something dumb. Hey girls, Can I ask you these.......Do you think the guy should always be in control when he is still trying to date a later. Most guys tells me you have to be in control..........should that be the case. Also is it true that girls like say 23 yrs old are more mature than guys that are same age as them.
Also is it right to tell a girl that you 've never been turned down before.........in my case it is true.........becos I haven't had a relationship before.

Chat up lines r 4 little boys that r too dumb to think of anything intelligent or interesting to say.
I dont even respond to chat up lines anymore, i just walk away.
If u see a girl u like just smile, introduce yourself, tell her your name, etc just be yourself, dont flirt too much, and from her response u should know whether she likes u too, and only after u have a good conversation, ask 4 her number politely. Thats all there is to it.
And make sure u call her, dont leave it till next week or next month, like some eeeedyots ive met, cos she would have 4gotten about u, and when u do call her, u can be as flirtatious as u want, cos she'll be much easier to talk to over the phone.
I hope u men take note.
Oh, and FineBoy, no women r not more mature than men at 23, we r more mature at every age. And either the man or woman can take control of the dates, it doesnt really matter, as long as they're good dates. But it is nice if the man can take us out, pay for the meal etc, not for us to take advantage but because we spend ages getting ready to make ourselves look good 4 u, its only manners to take control and wine and dine us, cos we're worth it.
