My brothers, you have between 2 choices, Queen Latifah or Naomi Campbell to make a wife for yourself. Neither of them are ugly on the outside, but Naomi's outside beauty is considered far greater than Latifah's. Then with Queen Latifah's weight, it typically pushes her even further down the beauty ladder. As for the inside, Naomi is a notorious bytch, while Latifah has been said to be a beautiful person with her past songs calling for "Unity" in our community and speaking out against using the denigrating words "bytch" and "ho" to describe our sisters.

It is perhaps the only way to isolate which value is more important to a man. We all want the best mix we can find of both qualities good looks and personality, but to answer the question of which is more important to a man (which comes up quite often here at BNV), then I feel it must be done this way to say which is truly more valued by a man.
By the way, even if guys don't find Naomi that attractive, most find her far more appealing than Latifah so it is still a good comparison for the aforementioned purposes.

Oh please. This is so thinly veiled its practically transparent! Anyway, who decided what is outer beauty? I thought society was advanced enough to realise that they didn't have to conform to sterotypes anymore.

Ok, I apologize if this thread is offensive to you. I agree that a larger woman can be deemed just as beautiful by some, but reality is that most view slimmer women as more attractive. I am going off of popular opinion in this thread. It isn't meant to offend...so don't take it that serious sis...

Maybe this could have been a better comparison one is sexy and the other is well uhmmm beautiful on the inside (it is VERY wrong of you S&T to ASSUME that all fat people are all beautiful on the inside - you are the people Tyra was talking about who go around making fat people become bulimic to fit your little moulds - thats why some people will take immediate offense on this thread it is too obvious or should I say "transparent" to use SS word.)

Latifah has NO sex appeal whatsoever.....and after the breast reduction......she has even less.

no disrespect Shemsi, but this thread is kind of pointless. Male or female, folks tend to be shallow. No one is going to choose a fat or ugly nice girl/guy when they can have someone attractive regardless of their personality.
Its only after a few times of being burned by pretty girl/pretty guy types who turn out to be nasty that people start looking a lil deeper at the choices they make. And by then they are probably in their mid thirties with the benefit of maturirty experience and hind sight and looking for more then eye/are candy in a relationship.
Of course you will always get the sad old git still chasing the pretty skirt, but now he needs to flash the cash or be seen in a nice car. Similarly you get women in their 40's acting/dressing like young women in their 20's still chasing the pretty boy types!!
Plus few people will gladly admit to being shallow!!
