I'd only feel wary if she's been giving me reasons to be suspicious in the first place. If not, then that's where trust comes in and paranoia runs a marathon for the sake of the relationship.

| I used to switch off my phone when I was upset w/ my bf. I don't do that anymore, as I feel like we should always communicate..even if it's just arguing. Ignoring him/her is so cruel...

Unless the relationship is aleady under stress and there is an underlying trust issue, there should be no problem. If the girl is untrustworthy or the guy is paranoid or ultra sensitive then issues can arise. It is possible for a phone battery to die and for you to not hear your house phone, or if your phone is as faulty as mine (Never buy a Motorola V3i), it can switch itself off wthout ur knowledge, u've popped out, left the phone on the table.... whatever, it can be all above board but boils down to trust.

i used to do that too, to punish my man if i was vex with him, then i grew out of that and into just letting my fone ring out...now I'd just answer it and say i was feeling upset and i dont feel like talking right now
if a girl does that she could be up to anything...may be she has a fancy man....hubbies beware!

Are you not married? Why on earth would you want to purposely switch off your phone just so your husband cannot get hold of you  is this not game playing and unnecessary, what is the purpose in doing such a thing to let someone you 'love' acknowlege - you aint always available; sounds rather childish to me. Does this behaviour not just create mistrust . If this behaviour comes about due to arguments, I still find it childish - communicate.

Being serious now. You must have some serious issues if it messes up your head because you can't get your woman on her mobile. I'll be in rehab by now if I took that sh*t on because I sometimes wonder why my wife has a mobile, since 7 times out of 10 I can't reach her on it anyway!
..............the other three times I seem to dial a wrong number because this guy answers with a deep "yeah what do you want?", only to tell me I got the wrong number. Man, these mobile companies got to sort their connections out!

This African militant who believes marriage is for white people would ring my house to speak to the ex wife. If I answered the phone he'd hang up...and I still had to pay the bill - they were all tramps...the lot of them!
I have a reputation for not kinning teet with gal pikney, jealousy has never been an issue for me. I only need one woman, that's my woman. saying that one of the things that was really good about my ex was she was always there, was never more than a phone call away. I remember it was about five years in and it was the first time I rang and her mum said she wasn't in...it was quite a culture shock....makes you really check the things you take for granted. Still, with so much time at home you would have thought she'd have mastered a few more traditional Caribbean recipes than she did
