ARE BLACK WOMEN TRULY SUPPORTIVE OF BLACKMEN?
Do black women secretly feel that whitemen are better then blackmen?
Cause black women talk more negative about black men then anybody I have ever heard in my life. ON T.V., IN MUSIC, ON THE RADIO IN PERSON, FREINDS, FAMILLY, STRANGERS, CO-WORKERS. It's hard to get a blackwoman to say anything good about blackmen as a collective.
What is the problem?
You here theses songs talking about "how i want a thug". Okay, you assume she is talking about a blackman because of the slang tem "thug" that was made popular by Tupac. But a thug can be white also. So do blackwomen support black men or do they want to break the blackman's spirit like the whiteman.
When 2 intelligent people enter into a relationship they are both going to try and protect their self esteem and material posessions. There will always be a powerstrugle for dominance which will end up with a winner or both parties on equal terms. Every relationship will not be the same. It depends on the values of each individual.
But why do black women always project this "N****rs aint sh*t attitude" Why do black women always attempt to destroy the pride of the blackman. Do black women agree with the whiteman and feel the blackman does not deserve to love himself?
Do black women feel that the whiteman is better the blackman?
From your observations and experinces ...tell me what is up with all the blackwoman's negative talk about the blackman and do they support blackmen or just feel they are stuck with them.
Or would most black women rather be with a whiteman?

Yes, yes, yes, and yes. Does that ease your mind now oh paranoid android?
And this is quite funny coming from someone who spends the majority of his time talking trash about women. Lol. Anyway, at least black women don't even need to ask if black men think that every other woman is better than us. You people have done a fine job of not only vocalizing it, but showing it as well.

I don't even believe this has to be discussed. A shame that people do not see simply that many of the men that women curse out deserve it. Women have the worst time in any society of today and they are expected to support men through all of the BS that they do and say including on this site. I do not blame them. And no. I do not think they secretly want a caucasian.
Sisters will tell you outright if they want a caucasian and thankfully after all the abuse they recieve most I have met do not.
I think a question should be added to the main question. If African women do secretly want a caucasian men, then WHY?
That is an important question which should be asked.

@BP said 'ARE BLACK WOMEN TRULY SUPPORTIVE OF BLACKMEN?
Do black women secretly feel that whitemen are better then blackmen?
Don't think this is gender specific, because there are as many men if not more, with white women who will say exactly the same thing about black women, ie a white woman is better and some of them will back up their statement with facts which are not deniable. But wouldn't personally agree with them.
I think there are some very supportive black women out there and know that for a fact. People say a whole heap of stupidness when they are ignorant, lack education of any type or speak from their emotions and are essentially angry people.
I wouldn't let it bother me. Women of that hue flock together which reinforces their embarrasing ignorance and lack of appeal. So why would that bother me or any brother who knows what he is about.
If they want white men go and get them but the problem is they will not get treated any better with the average white man but worse. Have you ever studied the newspaper and realise how many white men not only kill their women but children as well for spite, or because they want to leave them for other men. Same way for men who want to go with other women.
What do black men do generally. Kiss their teeth and go look more woman.

I think many Black women could ask the same q's B_P!
Erykah Badu - Green Eyes
“Don't you want be strong with me?
You told me we could have a family!
Want to run to me when you're down and low
But times get tough and there you go!
Out the door, you wanna run again!
Open your arms and you'll come back in
Wanna run cos you say you're afraid, afraid"
This part of the song encapsulate many of the reason why Black relation fall apart.
But on the other hand
"You can't be what I need you to
And I don't know what is up with you"
Black women can be too hard on Black men, but only bcause we love you all and want the best for you.
I think we all need to fix up and look sharp

Was reading the why all the hate against women thread and this one came to mind. Felt sorry for the young sister who said that she had to stay away from the Village because too much criticisms of black women.
I think a lot of this misunderstanding comes from age and lack of knowledge. I remember when the first anti black man two page article was published in the Evening Standard and then Daily Mail in 1985. You will note this was not a real issue till then and you have to ask what changed. Well the GLC women's commitee and their brand of feminism which was picked up by the ignorant and vex or genuinely ignorant.
If you did a serious search on anything published or aired on televison or radio on this issue the number of black men who have been critical of black women publicly can be counted on less than three or four fingers and most of their comments are of a completely different nature of the standard racism and self hatred found in the tons of stuff still being produced to this day about black men. In fact certain magazines would collapse if they did not keep the blood of their female reader at certain temprature with those kind of stories or features.
I know of very few books, fiction or factual, plays or discussions shows ever produced by black men who have condemned or criticised their women in public. The white man does not give black men platforms to act in that way and most black men i have met would not participate in that behaviour anyway, and far less than black women and the evidence is there. Go and check for yourself.
I once wrote for a magazine and an editorial meeting somone gave me the latest edition and there was a cartoon which the sisters had drawn which was designed to make black men look like uncouth arses. Restaurant scene, woman asks for some posh sounding wine and the brother ask for Dragon Stout. The waiter and black woman are staring at the brother in the cartoon like he was some buffoon. When I told the sisters about their arse, they attempted to suggest it was a joke and I had took it wrong. When I explained to them to show me the different ways it could be taken...Long pause and silence and discomfort.
I was at a play in Bedford written by some sisters which was so offensive a riot almost broke out and when I looked carefully into the crowd it was a group of older married Caribbean women of my mother's age kicking up stink and getting very very ugly and loud. They were deeply offended at the images of black men being presented and no dout offended as they were married, had sons or knew too many men who bore no reflection of what was being introduced into the minds of the ignorant.
In fact one of actresses told me she almost got her arse burst when she bumped int to of the elder sisters in the Town who told her she had no shame and what did some man do her at such a young age to be so twisted.
I have an Voice editorial where the editor said he had never known any other race of women, to publicly be so disloyal to their own and he went on to cite article after article, programme after programe where black women were dissing men for fun and equally interesting where men could not challenge what was being said. As the article said most community of men would not stand for it and those women' s lives would be in danger.
So thinking about BP points it is very clear that doing the enemy's bidding is something a whole heap of black women do without thinking. They go to work and talk about black men with white women in a way most brother would never do.
The fact is in a democratic medium like the internet black men do not need white men's permission to speak for themselves and when they do the same women who were cheering like it is fight when brothers are being degraded wholesale suddenly cry foul.
So these are unfortunate events, but the fact is we have to deal with the facts and the history behind it. At some point some understanding will be reached..But you cannot short cut the process.
Disagreeing with Ras Rubens point and let me go back to that Voice editorial when it said no race of people are without wotless and slack or unambitious men. However when this is taken as a characteristic or stereotype of their own men, as if women were not responsible for shaping these men in every way and the facts of racism and how it affects each gender in different ways. It shows ignorance of a very very embarrasing type.

FredB i just want to say welcome back to the village. I have so missed your presence was on the verge of sending you an email to say wha blow everyting cool. im with the ou now gettig more education
BACK to topic
i dont feel that its the case of black women secretly wanting anything but black men. We endure and pray that the balance will be worked out. Maybe standards need to be raised higher but i think lack of knowledge and communication is usually the problem.
enough of the foolishness. blame game must stop. Treat as you expect to be treated end of
where is the love
its one thing to go outside but why slag off your people as the way to justify.

Very interesting read however you forget one thing. The older sister was right. What happened to these women to make them do this. You are going on as if they just woke up and said lets attack our men. Come better than that. I am a younger man also and I can tell you, to find a man that has not f***** over a sister at one point or another in a disgusting way you would be hard pressed. I think you need to understand that yes many of our sisters attack our males but I tell you they do not do it without reason. No matter how many women I meet who are loyal to African men they always seem like they are at the end of their rope. Admittedly the women have their own part to play in it but what i see this thread doing is leading people to believe it is all women, above post is a perfect example. The negativity of both genders is as a result of interaction between the genders. However posts like the above make it seem as if it is only a female problem. Instead of talking about the problem with each other maybe we need to start asking what causes the problems. I do not see how you could disagree with that being the most viable alternative to accusing sisters of wanting caucasians when there is no proof to that effect.
As for your last paragraph Fred B I have never seen anything so stupid in my life. It is exactly what I am talking about. Women are the ones who choose men, men do not choose women so they have to take some accountability for the men they have. I understand that they must look at themselves but then the men are not without blame. How can you turn around and say that women are responsible for these men behaving in this way. Last i checked I am a man and I do what I want. Women do not shape me. My life and actions are influenced by external stimuli but I am my own man. Wasn't it you in another thread who said that people who base their lives on other people need psychiatric help. And yet you believe as if women were not responsible for shaping these men in every way.
The funny thing is I do not see at all how this could be seen as a proper discussion let alone a progressive one. People are sitting here blaming women for things as If men are blameless in this poor interaction between males and females of African origin. It is the same ignorance I see from posters here that breeds the separation between African men and women and will continue to do so until we realise that we can't run a race until we fix our broken leg. Ignoring it will only make it worse.

@Ras Ruben... With respect my brother who told you I do not know why or many of the issues women have. I probably know far more than many on these type of issues. That is not my point is it? Even if we wanted to talk about the structural or cultural oppression of black women for argument sake it would not start and end with black men does it? Unless you assume there is something in the genes of these men which makes them behave in the ways you suggest.
Why does what beer a man chooses to drink be a point of inferiority compared to some wine which is defined by white people as illustrating class and sophistication?
The issue for me is how people go about addressing the issues which concern them which is about demonstraing commitment and skill and knowledge to air and solve problems. The fact that other races or ethnic groups do not disrespect themselves in this manner I think is a clue. But I suppose the women are as wotless as the men they abuse, especially given they have better education and should be able to use intelligence to address problems which is what having an education is about. Not making a fool of yourself and your people on an enemies platform.
I am not twenty years old, but I work and teach and stuff with plenty young men and women who are and while I would take a lot of what you has said is true, there are some ruthless and loveless and heartless young women out there no doubt produced by some bitter mother's it would seem. But when you talk about black men, that is not the same as talking about some present generation young men. Especially when you consider the same type of dissing use to take place before.
Let me bore you with some facts. Africans are one of the most three most qualified groups in this country. Do you know their average wage or jobs they do? Now I admire and have respect for continental African men and their attitude to economics or work, but how many sisters are going to respect an African-Caribbean man who cleans floors in the morning or a range of other jobs? I am not suggesting anyone should feel sorry for themselves, but life is far more complicated than your sweeping generalisation suggests. You are making those generalisations not me bro.
What an immigrant or someone born elsewhere will do or how they value the money they earn and what that translates back home for example, is completely different from someone British born, who is not making plans back home. And Black people are no differnt than other people as that is basic economic behaviour. So I know many economists who would dismiss your comments, because it is not unique to black people but most people. Educational qualifications does not translate into good jobs for most black people and that is a statistical fact and particularly for men.
I can't remember the specific point you were trying to make with my quote, but what I have said is not stupid but factual. Do you know how many big arse men who are socialised into sponging off their sisters or living at home with their mothers when fathers would have put them on the street long time.
I have a cousin back home who my uncle was going to kill and that is not just words but reality and my uncle doesn mess and will not take public shame. My cousin was lazy like raas compared to our men. He was banned from the family home and when my uncle wasn't there sneak back and my aunt would give him whatever he wanted because she was his baby. He grew up about ten years later than every body else, but he was supported in his sh*t by his mother and sisters.
Wotless men come from somewhere and more likely to come from homes where there is no father or where they are being pampered like kids by women. That is not stupid dear brother but experience and reality.
Read Toni Morrisons novel and I can't remember the name of the mother who killed her son and why she did it and what the message was...Women shape their men directly and indirectly. That does not negate their own responsibilities and can never. But when these women talk in public you rarely ever hear them accept ANY RESPONSIBILITY WHAT SO EVER...
Finally, let me give you another real example. I was at an international criminology conference recently and a Professor when talking about tackling crime in black communities said black men have to take responsibility for their children and for this massive jump in single parent families. Not the welfare and housing system which is what supports and drives this rise. This conference is full with an international audience and that is how they are talking about black men, because it is obviously true.
When I spoke at told the professor what he said can only be true if we accept to extreme prospositions. The first that black men are repeatedly raping and impregnanting women. Second that black women are either genetically stupid, lack intelligence by any definition, and even less so than rats who are highly intellgent and rarely get caught twice the same way, and do not know anything about sexual health matters or contraception or the consequences of single parenthood in too many cases.
The professor shut up so fast you could feel his embarrasment for being so damn arse stupid for making the comment. In fact things are so bad even highly intelligent and accomplished people suddenly forget to switch on their brains when talking about black men, because enemey propganda is so thick and deep it is just accepted.
As I said you cannot be an independent woman and come with its 'my decison not yours', and then cry like a b**ch arse child when it suits.
Sorry bro.

I don't see what the above fart has to do with anything.
The issue for me is how people go about addressing the issues which concern them which is about demonstraing commitment and skill and knowledge to air and solve problems. Try telling our brothers that because I don't know what you are telling me about brothers do not chat shyte about women on caucasian platforms because last I heard men were attacking women on a wide scale musically and not just in the states. I have heard some dispicable things on channel U out of the mouths of these young African men so your very biased idea that it is just women is foolishness.
I am not twenty years old, but I work and teach and stuff with plenty young men and women who are and while I would take a lot of what you has said is true, there are some ruthless and loveless and heartless young women out there no doubt produced by some bitter mother's it would seem. Why do you assume that these women are the result of mums male bashing. That is not the case at all so don't come at me with that. It is the result of being hurt by men. I have seen men do some dispicable things to women and when they come talking about I am one of the good ones (I do not believe this myself) I understand what they mean. What is it you have against women raising children. Did somebody close to you male bash when you were young or something. Because i can tell you now it is a different case entirely now.
Let me bore you with some facts. Africans are one of the most three most qualified groups in this country. Do you know their average wage or jobs they do? Please tell me where i made a generalisation that had anything to do with the occupation of African males. And please tell me how these young men get to clean streets because I can tell you now it is not all the "system" that does that to them.
What an immigrant or someone born elsewhere will do or how they value the money they earn and what that translates back home for example, is completely different from someone British born, who is not making plans back home. Please tell me where I started talking about economics because I have just looked over my post and you are going off on a tangent mate. You are painting a picture that I do not tink you want to paint.
I can't remember the specific point you were trying to make with my quote, but what I have said is not stupid but factual. Come on now do you expect anyone to believe that socialisation is an excuse for wotless men. My arse it is. If men are wotless they have only themselves to blame. That is about as convincing as the arguement that computer games make people kill and music makes people do evil. Human behaviour is as a result of input (socialisation) and processing. If a person chooses to process information in a foolish and negative way lacking common sense then that is entirely their own fault. You cannot blame socialisation for wotlessness. You might as well go as far as to say there are no criminals or idiots, socialisation is to blame. That arguement is weak.
Seriously read the above. Every person is responsible for their own ignorance, you cannot convince me otherwise, especially with such a weak arguement that lack completely all ecological validity.
Tell me which book and I will review it again. I have read them all and witnessed no such message. i find it surprising that you came to such a conclusion as she is a serious feminist and I am sure she would not blame sisters for such a thing. however find out which book and which chapter and I will be happy to give you my analysis. As for the responsibility bit, are you seriously expecting me to believe that no man is responsible for his own slackness, it's all women. I sware you would probably blame the ignorance you are expressing here on a woman too.
See I am now ashamed to be a man because I do not see at all where you are going with this. Yes there are young women who are doing this and then wanting the men to stay around. However because the female consented do you expect me to believe that men have no reason to look after the children. This is what I am saying. You are painting the picture that you are a misogynist, blaming women for all things when men have their part to play in it also. I do not know where you are getting this idea that men are blameless when in all of the things you suggested above, they have played an equal role. By the way you should have mentioned to that professor that young caucasian girls are doing it at a higher rate however because they are the predominant people in this society the percentages look low. Also the stats are taken for britain not just inner london. He would have found that underage pregnancys are a result of inner city living and not of race. other groups do not have such a problem because of high religiousity. It is simple. He was using loaded stats. anyway, you should really stop blaming women for everything. The arguement is slack and I would expect more from someone of obvious intelligence.

@RR. My post is actually related to your comments. That is where it starts and ends in response to your generalisations about black men. I challenged your generalisations. Then I went ahead of your argument.
What has economics got to do with it. Well everything actually. All these discussions hinge on economics and if you want to understand the issues seriously then you need to put the work in.
All these discussions about wotless black men in any part of the black or African world is directly related to economics. If you did not know that then I have taught you something.
If you go to any Caribbean island with a serious economic problem you will hear discussions about wotless black men and working class brothers or unemployed guys get it rough, to the point where many women wouldn't piss on them and look down on them. It is no coincidence this debate is always directly related to massive changes in the economy and the 1980s particular. Take any major American city such as Chigao and look what happened when the economy changed and who it hit the worse and what happened to the family where the basic discipline of work and large numbers if not the majority of young males getting up every morning and going to a job that earned money. What happened to the socialisation and influence of older black men on the young in the work place who bascially loss their working culture.
Study the knock on effects of that. Do you know there is a direct relationship between active fatherhood and economic stability. Studies in the US show even where black fathers have not supported their kids once they are economically stable and have opportunity to do so they do.
So if I was going to fast for you bro, it is because I assumed you knew a bit about what you were talking about. Study the effects of long term unemployment on men in South Africa under apartheid and how it affected their social standing and influence.
About msyoginistic. Bro don't cover you lack of understanding bro with diss terms it is not necessary. You made certain generalisations about black men which I challenge. How does that translate that I am blaming women for everything. A slight jump in logic I suggest
if the social behaviour of men is complex and shaped by many things what makes you think the behaviour of women is less complex. Remember as I said based on facts it was not black men who started or continue to mispresent not only the factual realities of black men in this country, but also the realities of black people as a whole, which would include what affects them as well which most intelligent people would realise.
Don't try to twist the argument bro.
Perhaps you did not read my first post in your haste.
FB
PS by the way I did tell him about white girls being the fastest growing groups and it being European wide. One myth. There is no equality in decisions about if a child is being born or very rarely. By the way it is a fact women actually benefit in far more ways then men in being single parents and which is why ignorance or a mistake does not cut it as an explaination. How many mistakes does a culture make until some one is a damn fool.

Black women are reinforcing black men's sterotypes and breaking their spirit... really? What a lot of these men don't realize is that they are their own worst enemies. All you need to do is to turn on the television or walk down the street to see this. What has rap music done if not reinforce the stereotype that the black man is animalistic, sex-crazed and has low-intelligence to boot? You can't blame black women for that. I remember a few years ago, a black British male, his name escapes me, published a book about how black men, excluding himself off course, are irresponsible, uneducated, worthless, etc, etc. Where was the loud uproar from you men? But let Alice Walker write a fictional novel in which she portrays one black man in a bad light and shows no indication that this man is a representive of all black men, and she tagged as a tool for the destruction of the black male. Lol... yeah "The Colour Purple" sure has set you back way more than any "songs" that 50 pence and his cronies have managed to pollute the airwaves with.
