If you straighten her hair out a bit, trim down the width of her nose and lighten her skin a few shades she would be the spit of Alica Keys!

I heard the rumors a few years ago (Lauryn had lost the plot), but how true were they? Was it not just the case that Lauryn was speaking her raw truth! I mean after all she had been through a lot, believing in her spiritual guide - her husband etc, only to find that decpite what he preached, he too was succeptible to lies, deciet nad adultery, the raw deal abouth the superficial music industry. Man, I say she had just had a crash landing to reality. Her believes about certain people, and life had taken a hard crash landing.
I admire her as a positive role model for Black women and young people. I love her lyical mind (although, not sure if she was the sole writer on the Mis-edu album)

I'm not sure why I said no explicit in the title... think I was gonna make a thread for African women in general titled Aphro-Dite but as soon as I did Layren sprung to mind and I automatically called it The Layren Hill thread... Kinda had a thing for Macy Grey for a while, guess that says a lot.

I think she has raw beauty.........all her features are more or less perfect. I dont know about the whole role model thing though.......sometimes the artist is more moral than the person behind it, anyhoo I definately like what she was saying.
