My mum and dad always tell me it is not the food that is unhealthy, it is how they cook it and what they add on it.

A homemade burger, chinease, Indian is much healther and less fat then takeway. Even McDonalds salad contains more fat then their cheeseburger.

Basically do have Takeaway..............just as a treat.................and choose something unhealthy once a week rather than having "healthy" takeway.............eat it everyday.................and gain no benefits.

@Soar85

Soofresh is right food becomes unhealthy depending on how you cooked it.  But why you interested in take aways just because you had a bad experience with sweet potato pudding don't give up on cooking    confused3.........smoking-devil

I think the key to what you are asking lies in every takeaway their is a healthier option  for example

Chicken Tikka from Indians is cooked in a clay oven so no or not swimming in oil and

Steam/Plain rice instead of Pilau rice which is cooked with oil

Kebab shope I guess those kebabs on the skewer that is cooked on the grill is the healthiest

Chinese is the plain steamed rice and for the other items you have to ask how it is cooked but as long as its not any sweet and sour food most is cooked quick in a wok and not much oil used, well not as much as in indian.......I think.

When I see chinese and Indian takeaways the indian seems to always be swimming in oil.

You just have to use your intelligence and pick out the healthest options from the menu which means investigating how the food is cooked.  But the absolute healthiest is you cooking it yourself.
