anyone with fillings. well i do have...but there is the one that i got re-done last year is not paining me..it just feels metally even the tooth itself. should i be worried it looks ok but i am worried a little. maybe its just weird. cant afford to have it re-done till pay day.
has anyone experienced any unusual feeling with fillings you have ... please describe

I hope you didn't get those silver amalgam fillings.
They are made with mercury, the most poisonous element know to man and can really destroy your body over time.
They've been linked to multiple sclerosis, manic depression, ALS, skin problems, and even prostate cancer in men.
I had negative reactions with mine and had to get them replaced with porcelain.
As far as prices for dental work though.....
Don't know about England but in America sometimes you can go to those clinics at major Universities where students are practicing medicine and get work done much cheaper than with a professional dentist.

Im scared enough of the dentist as it is. My root canal work was SOO painful it still haunts me. Yes it was expensive but damnit no amatuer is practiscing on me.
Ladyday Ive had fillings for a while with no effects at all

I have heard stories about how silver fillings can affect your mental capabilities and stuff. But I don't believe a word of it. I have had silver fillings for years and they don't affect me none. In fact the day those aliens abducted me and tried to force me to give away the secrets of my planet Alpha Santorious, in the 3rd Dimension (where I lived before coming to earth to do my thesis on human behaviour) they couldn't help but comment on my fine dental work and wanted to know where they could get the same. Mind you, I think they were just trying to make me feel at ease as they stuck the electroids up my nose because from what I could see they had no teeth....in fact no mouth at all, just a pointed head and a single eye in the centre of their forehead (reminded me of my dentist as it happens).
Nah...those stories about silver fillings is all stuff and nonsense.

its when your teeth go bad and the bad stuff is taken away and filled .... some people call them cavities. people with cavities tend to get fillings

cheers but i have had my amalgam/silver fillings for time. only ever trouble with one and that was becaise the tooth was just really bad. but toay it feels like silver metal is on my tooth. oooh i am goona call my dentist tomorrow and ask for advise.

I KNEW somebody was gonna say something like that.
I wish I would have added a disclaimer.
I wouldn't go to them for brain surgery or cancer treatment or sh*t like that...but for minor cavities or to take a phsical...most def.
The are about a 10th of the price of the average proffesional practisioner.
Remember DM, we American's aren't blessed with a free health-care system like you guys overthere.
Deepending on where they are in your mouth you may not get symptoms for years down the road.
They reacted quickly to me because I had 2 implanted at the same time directly on opposite sides of my mouth so mixed with my saliva they acted like a "battery" and I wasn't able to concentrate on sh*t 2 weeks after I got them put in.
Then weeks later I started getting weak and dizzy.
But sometimes the mercury just collects in your tissues damaging them and doesn't show any noticable effects until you get old and your body stops regenerating the damaged tissue.
By then it's often too late.
You may have problems and don't know WHERE it's coming from and just assume that the fillings aren't causing them.
I never would have know that my teeth could cause me to become weak and dizzy or possibly give me multiple sclerosis.

Depending on how big of a booty you can fill, you might be able to get them done for free.
I saw a lot of lonely sistaz doing thier interns up where I used to go to.
Maybe you can fly overhere and do "yo thang" and luck up.

its true what drunkmonkey says
when i had my filling re-done my hubby was concerned as i couldnt eat on that tooth without feeling pain. i had a bad dentist experience she was female and brutal so i called around and luckily found an nhs (nhs does not mean free once you are 16 ish you have to pay) that could take me on..
...BUT i as i wanted to be seen and treated then and there i was taken on as a nhs patient but treated as a private patient. my one tooth cost me £65 ($123.39US) That was examination and filling where as as an nhs patient it would have been sooooooo much cheaper.
i had a baby tooth taken out and wanted something to close the small gap they advised braces etc were far too expensive and not neccessary as the gap is at the side and unnoticeable....
i need to get pregnant and then i can visit the dentist for free
