I heard of SAD and now the winter mornings are coming I am finding it more and more difficult to function...
I have now got the Lumie Bodyclock which helps in regulating your sleep pattern by simulation sunrise...
Is anyone else affected by the change in seasons? Do you need to use lightboxes in order to regulate your body clock?

I understand 80,000 ppl a year suffer from this syndrome.........I soon learnt at work, for example,to tread very carefully on a cold, wet, wintry Monday Morning in the various offices that I worked in. ......However a Sunny,Summer Friday ....just say Hello! and peeps would clutch their collective stomachs in laughter at my "wit"....

Yes yes yes. Definitly. I wake up at 5:45, and nearly admitily fall asleep again. I have to physically force myself to get out of bed.
This morning I think I was still asleep when I got up, since I tripped over something. In the evenings I just want to sit or lie down, even when I have loads of things to do.
During the summer I can get up even earlier and feel fine. I go walking, jogging, swiming...etc

Sorry, couldn't resist, seriously though. I have heard light box treatment is good, you sit in front of a simulated sun light box for a hour a day or something.
Or another thing which is meant to be really cool, is a sun rise alarm clock that slowly lights up, emulating sun rise and waking you up less harshly.
EDIT:

| I actually dread when the clocks turn back because i know whats coming!! I must have had SAD for years and never knew it, because as a kid i always looked forward to Christmas. It wasn't about the presents (good, though!!) it was the atmosphere, the decorations and twinkly lights, sixties and seventies christmas music (!) and people being generally friendlier and happier (at least they were when i was a kid in the eighties!!!) i used to love going to my local high street. And i still feel the same way now. But i have only just made the conection between that and SAD. Christmas offers some respite from it.
