Traditional Black Soap is
brownish-black in color. It is soft with an organic shape. It has a delicate texture & a natural earthy smell. It is not oily or scented. Black Soap has been used for black hair care & black skin care for centuries. Today people from all walks of life are benefiting from this amazing African soap. African black soap is mostly found in Ghana. However, other countries have their own version of African black soap. Nothing compares to the original African black soap from Ghana. :)Just_Me, where are you based in the UK?, Dudu Osun is from Nigeria, apparently the REAL deal is from Ghana.  Dudu Osun is everywhere where I am in West London and therefore massed produced like many other brands, so I very much doubt if this is the real thing.  I'm on a quest to finding it as well.  I have a few Ghanian friends so over the weekend I will try and get some info from them about it and where it can be brought and whether they can get me some. I will let you know, but let me know where u r.niceone.gif

I used both for my skin and hair and it just makes my skin and hair smell and feel good. But the DO one I like the most cuz of its strong scent.

Good luck. I don't know about England since I am way across the ocean. But here in NY it is fairly easy to come across some.

Dudu Osun black soap does what it says on the tin! I dont think it  only originates from Ghana because as far as I know it is a traditional Yoruba soap. Anyways, I bought mine from Nigeria ( brought about 300 bars back with me) . You can get it from any Nigerian food shop in Brixton as they import from Africa every week, Another very good treatment  for skin is sea clay which you can buy from any Nigerian shop  (it is refered to as chalk and we also eat it). They cost about 20p each and when soaked and used as a face mask tightens and smoothens the skin leaving behind soft babylike skin (especially where there are problems with spots and roughness. Another good beauty tip is palm oil which we also use in cooking
