Vanity is a sin, but I'm glad women yak so much...my significant other is using
Bio-Oil and said it works well so far, but only on new scars.
It will take time for effects on old scars to be proven.

Weight training has proven none-too-kind to my upper arms, so I'm gonna see
what's what and if this oil can remedy me marks!

Keep up the banter, Chicita's! niceone.gif

I bought a bottle of Bio oil. I bought it from the Pak shop on stroud green road it is £6.99 and is a 60ml bottle.

Here is some info:

*scars

*stretchmarks

*Blemishes

*ageing skin

*dehydrated skin

It contains: Vitamins A and E. Non-greasy, non-staining. Natural herbal ingredients. Suitable for all ages. No preservatives. Contains the breakthrough ingrdient PurCellin oil.

Easily absorbed, non-greasy specialist skincare for the face and body.

http://www.bio-oil.info

non-greasy??? it is so greasy! i had some and put it on my stomach and could only do it at night cos i couldnt put clothes over it! i've got through 2 small bottles of bio oil and it faded the stretch marks but they're still there. you will never get rid of them entirely unless you have them lasered and thats not always 100% effective either.

But i want to buy it for 6.99, so i will buy it from the internet.

8.95 is sooo damn expensive.

Is there some where I cna get it online?

Don't do it @CaramelSagg - I  have the same problem as you - acne blemishes on my face + oily skin - and bio oil just gave me more spots - I think it clogged up my pores or something.

At the moment I am using a fade cream from pharmagel which was recommended to me by a woman who specialises in black and asian skin problems (croydon SW - PM me for details.)  Its working so much better than bio oil.  And no there is no bleach.  Its just a combinations of natural remedies that promote skins natural exfoliation.

But yeah - oily skin = bio oil will waste ur money - try something else!

Sorry to drag this thread up again, but have any of the people who originally posted months/years ago seen a dramatic difference after using it (If any of you guys are still around)?

I'm just a biy wary of spending so much money on something that will have minimal effects. Try before you buy - in this case it's you guys doing the trying before I do the buying.

Tah x

Hiya all

only use a small amount of the oil. But if you have oily skin on your face then its not a good idea because it wil just increase the likely hood of spots.

I have stopped using it now, and instead I started to read ma sisters copy of Imans women of color book. She explains lots about skin, hair and make-up; and what you should look for in the ingredigents for whatever type of skin you have which is great. Now I have no spots and the scars have really decreased.

Also a book called Beautiful skin of color by Jeanine Downie, M.D & Fran Cook-Bolden, M.D with Barbara Nevins Taylor.
