| I get really sore swollen eyes after driving, computer usuage, or even after wearing sunglasses. I don't know why this is, I went to an optician recently and even they don't know what it is. I thought it would be dry eyes but i've been advised it's not. My eyes have never been the same since I looked at the eclipse (only for a couple of seconds) in 2000. The optician said that's just phsycological, does anyone else suffer from these symptoms?

Can't say I do..tired blurry eyes maybe and in the extreme immediate migraine when looking at differet screens with different resololutions, font size and different orientation.
For example, if I'm on my 4:3 screen PC at work running hig res say 1200x1000 then come home and try to read teletext on my 16:9 tv my eyes are like they want to pop right out of my head, the blur gives me an immediate migraine and I have to look away. In fact I can no longer use a pc or laptop running anything more than 1024x768...it's the first thing I have to do when using a new pc/laptop..change the res..and to large font.
Brightness is also a bad thing for me right now in that I have to have my tv quite dim. It went so bad there were times I had to watch tv with my sunglasses on.
Also found I couldn't rad road signs unless I was up close and there is no way I'd pass the reading of a car number plate again. I nearly got prescription glasses but found if I kept off the computers my eyes would go back to normal so I didn't want the glasses to 'fix' my eyes in their bad condition....I'd rather limit my use on the pc...quite difficult in this modern day of 9-5....
