If you want to gain weight without eating unhealthily eat lots of  nuts,nuts until they are coming out of your ears.

 

Raw though not cooked or roasted.

 

Brazil and Cashews are the most calorific,also if you like avocados a couple of those a day will assist you in your weight gain.

The problem is I have recently lost a bit of weight, my eating habits have changed because I cannot eat a lot of foods that I used to eat. I can't do the sitting around thing because I also want to tone up.

JB I will try the nuts-I like nuts anyway...avocados are ok but can only deal with them in salads-so I may struggle with those but will try.

BB because I know you and your dietary restrictions I can tell you that eating more and less activity won't work.  Sure it's simply inverting the idea given to people who want to slim but the body doesn't work that way.

Less activity is a terrible idea and changing your diet isn't possible.  If it were I'd have told you to eat more rice, potatos and corn. 

Resistance training is the only real way to put on HEALTHY weight and bulk.  Also you can choose a regime to help you put it on exactly where you want to.

PS (you still need to keep that aerobic stuff up).  The heart needs to be pumpin and healthy.

I can eat brown rice, and I can sweet potatoes (will that make a difference?) and I've never had a problem with corn.

No!  Why do you say that?  I said your own body weight or free weights.  You can lift yourself up at home can't you?  You'll have to do this a while until you're ready for weights anyway.

Then eat lots of oily fishes....they might be oily, but they are "good fats" and good for your general health. The best way to cook them is to oven bake them in foil for no longer than 45 mins that way they retain all teh vitamines and minerals.

Drinking the water as I type, but we don't have ginger tea at work so I had peppermint instead (which helped a little bit) :(

With regards to fish I have been eating a lot of salmon lately, but I want to try another type of fish (parents aren't here so I don't get special treatment at the mo) any recommendations?

Well my Favourite ones are Cat fish and Tilapia. You can do so much with them in regard to spicying it as we do with our food.

Normally It would be plenty of carbs to bulk you up... in a healthy way

Like mez said..sweet potato..pasta jacket spuds...rice (although pasta works better)

no chicken n chips or junkfood will do it...all It would do is add spots to you face

 

but if its of any use to you im the opposite Im a size monster..cant stop putting on weight which is great while your working out but once you stop....

lol never pictured you as a marga thing though...mind you looking through the papers even posh spice seem to have a lil batty now so I guess marganess isnt that much of a drawback anymore

Ermm where did I say I was marga :shock:

You gave good advice (was planning to see my doctor anyways) and then you go and spoil it by being cheeky :P

*My metabolism isn't as fast as it used to be but it is still pretty fast. When I was younger it was the reason why I didn't put on any weight, now it has slowed down and in some ways that is a good thing.
