Basically Ive had a bad stammering problem since I was 5 years old. It disappeared for a while then re amerged when I was in my teens. For me dealing with it has been hell. People have taken the piss when I have tried to partake in discussion ( which has led to punch ups with students), I have found that even adults don't take you seriously when you have it, girls immediatley start smirking then don't want to know, and its dame well hard to get a job.
what are other peoples experiecnes ?

had speech class when I was in 3rd grade for it....and it really helped....
there are organizations that can provide real help for stuttering...
james earl jones, the man knwn for his eloquent speaking as well as his acting...used to have big stuttering problem..
so did Bo Jackson...the famous athlete....
they both got help.....so can you....

| Theirs a Jamaican tale that say's when a person stammers you should never stick your big toe into the ground becaue they will never get their words out and if they find out they will kill you lol.

Do you understand why you stammer and do you understand what is happening in your body/head when this is happening.
I am sure that you probably know more than me about the condition but I do know that with a lot of people, it is often anxiety that trips the brain up and is similar to other tricks the brain plays on us when anxiety presents itself..

I used to stutter, rather than stammer, up until about the age of 7. The conditioned was eradicated with speech therapy classes which I had from around the age of 6.
The thing is, family members now tell me I made more sense when I had a stutter than I do now  .

A guy at my gym strammers real bad...that machine gun stamma type
hes ok with it and if you buss a smaile he dont really mind afterall its quite funny sometimes...HOWEVER Ive learnt never to finish a word off for him as he hates that with a passion... just wait and let him finish
