Last night I watched a programme about 2 black people in London and Luton who are desperate for a bone marrow donor to help them with their fight against leukaemia. It could happen to any of us and because of the shortage of black people on the register they have not found a suitable match. Please think about being a donor. All you have to do is telephone the blood transfusion service on 0845 7711711 to find the nearest place to donate blood. You will need to tell them you also want to register for bone marrow donation as well as giving blood.
