after reading a recent report about i-pods can damage young people's hearing, it made me think..
i listen to my cd walkman on average about an hour - 2 hours per day at maximum volume with the bass option always on. recently inside my ears have felt a little sore and i'm a bit worried i could be damaging my hearing.
as i sing, i definitley don't wont to impair my hearing and i live for music, but i just cant enjoy it at a too quiet volume. i was brought up around loud music and as a child could sleep through my dads pumping car stereo.
does anyone have any info on the actual risk of damaging your hearing through loud music? am i the only one who likes to blast music??
Long term damage is normally the issue with this type of thing. I used to listen to my music very loudly to drown out the idiots around me when I worked. If you can't listen to music at a reasonable volume then don't listen to it at all.
