We are suffering more than ever from breast cysts, bad skin, obesity, fertility problems, cancers and the list goes on. The danger lies in the foods we eat yet we buy and eat them without a seconds thought to their damaging effects.
Avoiding the list below is a start. I challenge you to find out more about each.
- non organic chicken packed full of harmful hormones destined for your organs. Coated with wheat and fried in commercial oil mostly rapeseed oil (check below) both of which are problematic for our digestive health. Regard all types of meat with healthy suspicion. Eat less meat. http://www.chickenindustry.com/cfi/broilerindustryreport/
- goes with the chicken right?; fried and re-fried in old rapeseed oil in most shops, till all the goodness is lost. Make yours at home. http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/canola.htm
- most of us already know we don't do well on milk products. But when you know that the milk products also contain damaging hormones injected first into the cows, then pasturised to remove any helpful bacteria, then homogenised, making harmful properties in the milk enter your bloodstream, you begin to wonder, what benefits are left to gain. Greens strengthen your bones better. Margarine is man-made and bad for your heart, you're better of eating butter which is these days, half natural and half man-made! Scroll down alphabetical list at http://www.rense.com/general26/truth.htm or http://www.notmilk.com/
- this was meant to be the next best thing since milk, but it throws the female hormone system out of balance. Its almost like taking a contraceptive pill. Before you know it you have breast problems and other female issues. Unless its a fermented soya product, chances are its doing more harm than good. http://www.judycole.co.uk/soya_warning.htm
- not many of us realise we are allergic to wheat (in all its forms), how it contributes to blood sugar problems (the root of countless illness') and encourages weight gain. Corn will also encourage weight gain unless fermented. Eat in moderation or avoid. http://www.truestarhealth.com/Notes/1068009.html#Diet-Indications
r - this will simply age and ail you quickly, as it affects the functioning of every organ in your body. Added sugar is present in almost every commercial food you buy, so when you think you're not consuming much sugar, you're actually going over the recommended daily allowance. Unfortunately artificial sugar is equally damaging. http://www.mercola.com/article/sugar/dangers_of_sugar.htm#
- simply ruins everything that's good about your food. http://www.jrussellshealth.com/microwaves.html
Introduce real sea salt (its wet-ish and dark-ish), filtered water (not tap or boiled), bitter herb mixtures (bought from black healthfood shops) and as much raw food as posibble to your daily meals. Mix a glass of your favourite fruit juice with cold water and either a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice or organic apple cider vinegar (popular supermarkets stock it).
Summer is the best time to give cooked foods a break. You'll be amazed at how your health improves, even if you didn't think anything was wrong at first. Long Live Black Health.

Tru Afri Can
The information you provided was a Tru Value!
I'm a grown man and just found out within the past year that I was actually allergic to milk.
I always thought that milk allergies were due to lactose intolerance and a sure sign of it would be cramps and a lot of gas. Most of my people were lactose intolerant but since I had none of these symptoms and I drank milk almost everyday, I thought I was free and clear of it.
But since I was a kid, at certain times of the year I usually developed a chronic cough that would last for weeks and didn't appear to be connected to any type of cold of flu.
I read a book called Nutricide and found out the cows milk produces a lot of mucus in the body because it's a foreign and not meant for humans to drink. That's why we have an allergic reaction to it. When I stopped drinking the milk, the mucous production dried up and I no longer had the coughs.
I guess the next step is to lay off of the Popeye's Fried Chicken.

All food is beneficial as long as you eat it the way God made it.
Before you eat, look at your food with a critical eye. is it possible there is a chemical somewhere, do you know how it was cooked and has it been combined un-neccessarily with other foods (eg breakfast cereals with rice, corn and wheat all rolled into one)
You can't fault vegetables, so you're blessed if you actually love vegetables. Fruits i know should be eaten in moderation depending on how acidic or sweet the fruit.
Also be wary of food supplements, body building drinks, vitamins and health drinks (including those for slimming) - they are not as pure and good as they make out.

It means your chicken should look like chicken not something renamed kiev for example. Your fruit and veg are naturally 'seasoned', no need for extra. And if your food is coming from a can, you know the food is dead.
If you should go ahead and drink milk which i advocate against, you're better of drinking it with its natural cream and not homogenised (i would have gone as far as to say organic and unpasturised, but thats asking too much, its not produced like that anymore), that way your digestive system will deal with it better. Anybody realised skimmed milk constipates?
Natural fats from meats and nuts/seeds are best if eaten in moderation. Thats what i mean by how God made it.

Tru Afri- Can Thank you for this information.
I am on a quest for good health and have just found that many food including wheat and milk. However, i am going crazy understanding the labels on food, whilst looking for alternatives, which tend to be expensive. Due to these factors i keep going back to the food that my system does not agree with. Do you have any suggestions/books/sites that help you undertand food labelling and examples of an alternative balanced diet?
Thanks.

I've been at this health quest for years but even i still go crazy too, when i can't eat freely without trying to make sense of what food labels imply.
My way around it is cooking my food myself, with raw ingredients (eg fresh tomatoes/onions/ pepper and salt tossed into the blender instead of ready made tomatoe sauce). I've reached the stage of almost never buying to food outside home, unless i'm totally famished.
Its been hard going at times, but i've seen the benefits so i hope you never give up trying.
This health book could answer a lot of questions for you, Live right 4 your type by Dr Peter J. D'Adamo (10 pounds, but can be bought online cheaply) I trust the information in this book.

This is a very informative post, and I did not know Soy Milk was a problem either. Please idenify what then can be used in place of cow's milk when needed. I use a good Kashi breakfast cereal, what could I eat with it?

i use organic almond milk made out of filtered water and spanish almonds. it has a nice subtle sweet taste but can be quite pricey. but if you're only using it for cereal it will last you.

Soya
You have 2 choices -
eat beans/ legumes, potatoes and a variety of vegetables including your greens and herbs for calcium and iron. Meat alternatives/substitutes like quorn etc fall short.
or
eat less soya products and monitor the effects it has on you (realistically not every 'danger' food will have the same effect on everybody)
Other milk substitutes are rice milk, oat milk and *almond milk (*i prefer). But they don't taste that good if cows milk is what you're used to. I'll keep searching for other milk substitutes.
Excerpt from http://lists.topica.com/lists/Doug-Misc/read/message.html?mid=810218375&sort=d&start=197
Anderson knew that a sperm's 'motility' was one of the critical factors in fertility.
'It doesn't matter how many sperm a man's got; if they can't get from A to B then there's little chance of reproduction,' she says.
Anderson's 'eureka' moment arrived when a complex analysis of the samples she was working on revealed that the seminal liquid surrounding the slower-moving sperm contained chemicals called isoflavones. These compounds are also known as phyto-oestrogens or plant-oestrogens because they mimic oestrogen, the powerful female hormone.
These highly active compounds are found in large concentrations in soya. Indeed such are the doses of these chemicals, a woman drinking two glasses of soya milk a day over the course of a month will see the timing of her menstrual cycle alter. It has been estimated that infants who are fed soya formula exclusively receive an amount of oestrogen equivalent to five birth control pills every day.

don't say that, just eat more natural organic foods.
I would almost agree with you though because for a government to continue feeding its people and make money from agricultural produce and still have some food left to store for lean times they had to meddle with the food a bit.
Almost every regular food i've researched (even water)has been 'touched' in one way or another and renders the food less beneficial or downright dangerous. At least cutting out processed, pre-cooked or tinned food is a step to good health.
The west might never suffer a famine, but will always have to deal with disease caused by harmful food.

**there goes dem chicken wings i like, bloody £4 they were**
**throw out the milk**
**can't have sunday dinner tommorow.........BIN!**
**NOOOO...not my cheese cake,I love cheese cake, basstad**
**got to call mum and tell her dont bother with that macorroni cheese dish.........
........and i was just about to make me a ham sandwich**
Jokes aside, im just playin, Im weary of what i eat too.I think alot of people dont realise the effects of what they put in their bodies these days. Chemicals from alot of food people eat today affect alot of their bodily functions through out the years. These added chemicals and engredients ( E010 numbers, preservatives, stabalisers etc) affect the our brains, degestive system, cells, immune system and the way we develop/grow. These chemicals have been found to be a contrbuting factor in the increasing number of people developing viruses and deseases because the immune system has been weakened through the years and through our families. The increasing amount of unproductive chemicals the younger generation are taking in on a more regular basis is a player for why they are developing at a more unnatural rate physically.
Basically people just eat more healthy foods and MINIMAL junk, obviously but i understand it hard to find healthy foods in the environments some of us live in, surrounded by five Macd's, KFC's, Favorite Frieds,Chicken King, one Tesco and a carpet shop all in twenty feet of each other.
I dispare....

Margarine
Also known as a vegetable spread, you can't help but think healthy oils, but no....
Magarine is vegetable oil that has been hydrogenated or transformed to make it spreadable, but also to let it keep for a long time.
Hydrogenated oils cause various degrees of acne, skin problems, boils and even cysts. Researchers have also found a link between hydrogenated oils and breast cancer (& heart disease). Studies show there is a 40% increase in breast cancer in women eating hydrogenated oils.
They also presented evidence concerning flaxseed oil and how by adding this to your diet reduces tumors by 50%.
New kinds of margarine on the market claim to be non-hydrogenated, but you still have to wonder how they get something naturally liquid to look solid.
Think of all the places/ foods you find margarine.
When it comes to your food, trust no one!
Saywone1: you mentioned how kids are growing at an unnatural rate....i was reading on this recently. Apparently about 17% white girls and 40% black girls were starting their periods 3-4 years earlier now because of their diets.
Now this suggests to me we must be consuming more bad foods maybe 'cause bad foods are cheap. Most black families are not in the money and end up buying lots of cheap food which they don't realise is harming them. Scary.

Yeah it is sweetheart, but im not suprised. I dont know about you but Ive noticed alot more african and carribean families eating junk for dinner these days. I thought about it the other day and was like - we are not able to reach and eat healthier foods because our whole lifestyle has changed. factors like working to keep th roof over our heads, where we live, personal commitments - and by the time we get some time to ourselves were feel so run down and tired we cant be bothered to cook something worthwhile.
Now, I do have a weakness for buscuits and cheese cake ........and coconut tart but thats about it.
I dont now about people buying certain foods cos its cheaper though! I think its a lack of awareness about what they can actually buy for the money they have. I think you spend more money buying supermaket processed food than fresh/natural food. There are some foods that are rare and so you will pay more but i think on the whole you pay just as much if not less buying fresh/natuaral foods. popular things like chicken, lamb, rice and some ground provisions are cheaper than the supermarkets, you get more for your money and i doesnt seem like people know this. I think maybe some people dont care because of whatever reason. Some foods have been shown to have chemicals which are addictive and affect the brain causing us to be more lazy and addicted to the wrong things. I think the factor that children are maturing at an earlier age physically could have something to do with the increasing amout of under age sex, just a lil theory of mine.

Isn't it tru that most Africans and Asian people are lactose intolerant anyway?
Alot of wind and phlegm issues are about for that reason.
I've always though that there is something deeply twisted about humans eating other mothers milk (cows) and at times wait for it to curdle (cheese) yuk!!

Saywone1: Yeah, education is the key. I know a girl who empties a whole jar of mayonnaise into her small pototoe salad every weekend and consumes the lot. Somehow i can't get it into her mind that commercial mayo is not only eggs and olive oil, but some other unpleasant stuff she could do without.
I think its thrown her hormone system out of balance 'cause she has bad skin, painful periods that go on forever and even a little woman beard going on.
Tuckerreed: You've got your s**t together. The only thing i'd ask you look over is the milk.
A mediterranean diet is good, without the wheat. Have you notice how Italians for example age so quickly; thinning grey hair and wrinkles before they hit 30. I blame it on their over consumption of refined wheat products (oh and coffee, in all the forms they take it).
