Although currently banned in the EU, the US is lobbying the World Trade Organisation saying that it's illeagal for GM foods to be blocked from being sold in the EU.
Bare in mind that the EU, US and WTO are all run by the same people, it will eventually be passed, WTO is NOT an elected body it serves corparations via freetrade (freetrade drives wages down only it does not benefit the average person - 99% of us)
