hey bp
I want to get the biceps of

and the abs to match
I started bench pressing I'm up to 180 in reps but nothing
yet in looks
how far do I have to go to gain the bulky look?300? 400? pounds?
if you have any excerise tips, go ahead and tell me
I also think I need to lose weight maybe 50 pounds so I assume running will do the job but I don't know if I will lose muscle by running

If you wanna either post your typical weeks workout.....including exercises Lbs ect ect..ill be more than happy to take a look at it and see IF It may need adjusting...or you could jump PM it to me
But I can safely say that running will NEVER let you loose muscle... only burn fat
But to be Honest Ive never really saw the roack as impressive.....just standard bulk...so If thats your goal...is should be that hard to achieve

Hi BP, i need serious help! I've been slacking in the working out department. I used to work out five days a week (about 6 mths ago), going on the treadmill for 20 mins, then the X-trainer for 20, then the bike for 15. Thats all i done for a month and i lost 8 pounds. I then slacked off for awhile because of uni work............. and i've put all the weight back on and then some , I'm really unfit now.....
Can u recommend a workout and diet plan that can i can lose waight and tone up. 
I hope this is not asking too much.......
P.S. Have you heard of core secrets?

I usually do 5 sets of bench pressing of 170 lbs 50 sets of sit ups, 50 leg press of 300 pounds and 5 sets of Bicep curls(45ibs) every two days of the week
the other two days I do 5 sets of leg curls(90Ibs), 5 sets of calf raises(300Ib), 5 sets of leg extensions(110Ibs), 5 sets of abs(35ibs)
the other three I rest,
any help would be appreciated

if u want big arms u gotta hit the tris.. they make up 2/3 of the upper arm...

I do front dumbbell raise for delts and side lateral raises
I get most of my excerises from

Is always a good idear not to follow routines you read in magazines forums ect ect....I know that sounds funny considering Im gonna give a lil routine to try myself but the point is you just use it as a base and modify it to suit you...
Indeed my weekly routing is a mix up of a whole heap of things....some stuff Ive read and tried.....core exercises.....and even a few tips from peeps on this very Forum...
man if its mass you want.....then you better get back to basics...heavy bench...curl....squat....T bar rows....deadlift.
dont try to work everything at once....split your days up into different areas...
some people work opposing muscles together on these days like chest/back bicep/tricep shoulders/legs I DONT..... just play about with it and see what works for you...but put it this way if you cant work them both properly on the day then It wont work......like for example chest and shoulders..is a no no
Try and hit like at least 4 different exercises per muscle AFTER warm up...increasing the weight each set till you reach you max...you max should be the weght you stuggle to it 4 between 4-6 reps on...repeat this twice..and dont waste you time strating on a weight that too light as it just a plain waste of energy and youve already done your warm up.....
Another thing slightly off topic is why the rock????.....man im looking at that pic and I cant really see anything special there....just a bulky man with little definition...do you want good lean quality muscle or just mass??....man look around this forum theres more than enough inspiration right here....I mean theres the poster above (lucas) awsome chest development and great abs....now I bet the rock aint got those...lloyde got some huge arms too....now these are the kind of peeps who get my respect...Not the 50's or the rocks of this world...man those dude got money/ trainers/dietitions ect ect and still only manage half ass physiques.

havent even clicked that link...
and i already know its a farce.. workin out for serious gains.. isnt something id describe as fun.. .."dun excersises..
thats a concept a lot of people who want to get in shape dont realise (hint hint bb) its hurts hurts hurts hurts..and isnt fun fun fun.. you just have to keep at it till it becomes a habit... and it eventually feels good... because a lot of people dont realise.. same as makin money... going out havin fun.. education etc.. workin out and lookin after one's health is important... dont have to be a gym nut or nuttin... even just doin cardio.. very important..
i see bp has givin you a good routine... you gotta hit all bodyparts equally...

I need advice, nutrtional as well was physical witrth regards to getting a six pack
I was doing this home execising ting and have 3 weeks left. Too my surprise and delight it actually working, as I built my arms , legs, chest is bigger. As my goals are too get solid as opposed to bulking , I'm hapy with the results
Except for the midsection. It just not shifting. I just bought a stability ball and I was wondering what you guys do to get the 6 packs. any advice would be appreciated

I thought this was the In Your Own Words: THE OFFICIAL BLACKNET WORKOUT THREAD. First you ignore me then you fail to give Black Beauty advice. Did i ask too much, i only wanted expert advice.....
It seems you just want to advise Lucas and Red Cyborg, because they have more testosterone perhaps. Or is it a case to sticking to what you know? I assumed that you were a personal trainer, but maybe you work in a men's only gym..........

@cash...
abs has a lot to do with genetics and bf % levels.. for example me.. i carry low body fat naturally.. without diet... always had abs all my life ...i can not work my abs for extended periods and the stay right there..
you have to figure out what your genetic make up is.. and shift ur lifestyle up if u really really want abs if so is required...
some people have to iet to have abs....
etc
etc.. anyway
when i do work my abs i hit em hard...
very hard..
ive always found it better to specifically target lower abs as this is a prolem for may people.. and mid and upper abs get worked in an ancillary fashion ie they get hit when u do squats deadlifts etc etc..
excersise i useare
hanging leg raises... (from the lat bar)
gravity boot sit ups.. like 50 cent was doin in his in da club video
roman shair situps
10 kg medicine ball throws
...

Ok im female and want to lose around 3 and a half stone.. how long do you think this will take roughly?
i've started off by doing half an hour weights with bar bells, 30 min swim,stomach toning exercises for roughly 15 mins and sometimes a 2kilometre walk too.This is daily.Once i lost my first stone i plan to increase the exercise.I am also eating a very healthy diet with no crap!
have difficulty exercising more strenuously as i have a knee problem and when its overworked i cant bend or move it for a while and is very painful..
Any advice would be grateful especially on stomach toning and thighs too...

first of all depending how much your stomach streched you MAY NEVER get it back.........its a myth that peeps can have perfect bellies after childbirth....they can have nice onces however.....you seen that dove advert with that "budda belly" on it?....well if its like that its gonna be hard work.
I`m 42 and i`ve had 4 children. The last one almost 6 years ago. Stomach looks like I am 4 months pregnant. Is there any hope for me? I have the classical apple shape.

HOWEVER if its any consolation I think a woman who has a slight stomach through baring children is cool and competly natural....
by the way im a bit ignorant on the whole female thing....what exactly does 4months pregnant look like?

@lucas: How can I find out my genetic makeup is? I can't keep weight on. I've already shed most of the bay fat. My metabolism seems quite high. Is there any way to slow itdown?

Sorry to butt in, but why would you want to slow down your metabolism? It is best to keep it in high gear for as long as possible, because once you get old, your body can't recover as it used to. I say enjoy being thin. I am sure you are beautiful whatever your size If you want weight then hit the weights in the gym, don't eat cupcakes...
