Hey guys,
I'm American of "oriental" descent as they say in Europe, single, in my 20s, and thinking about re-locating to the UK or Germany.
I was seriously considering living in Manchester, Leeds, or Bristol (London just seems so large and expensive), but now I'm not so sure after reading about all these racist incidents.
Is it pretty much a guarantee that I'll be heckled, stared at, and possibly attacked in Northern England; or are these incidents somewhat rare? I should mention I am a big guy but won't have a group of mates to go around with.
Additionally, I've dated women of all races here in the U.S...and I've heard British women are more open to interracial dating than white American girls...but I thought I would ask you guys what it's really like over there.
Finally, any experiences in GErmany would be appreciated.
