Hi everyone I have a male friend who is 18 years old i am not attracted to him as i feel that he is too young for me i am a couple of years older than him. I really enjoy talking to him and plus we work together but we work on different departments we call and txt each other all the time. The other guys at work on his department seem to think i like him so would say things like "y dont u and stacey get together and so on and so on and also other stuff that goes along that line. Whenever am not busy i always talk to him because i am a quiet and reserved person and he is also the same most of the time so if i see him by himself i would go over and talk to him.
The problem is that he thinks i like him, which i do not, i see him as a friend and nothing more than a friend. I dont really keep much company with females as i find them very hard to get along with. So he thinks i like him and am just playing with his head the guys at work also think i like him and i guess they go feeding him information that just doesnt make sense. I have told him that i just see him as a friend and nothing more than that and he just doesnt seem to believe me.
Lately we hav'nt spoken to each other much, everytime i try to talk to him he always seem to have this rude attitude with me. I am kinda wondering if i should just let him go bout his damn business what do u guys think???????

@SexyLisa, if he doesn't understand that you don't want to be anything but friends then call it a day. What would be the point if someone isn't getting it? Having said that I don't look at him only as the guilty party but maybe it's just for the best if you find someone else to talk to.

| providing that he is of a legal repectable age i see no problem. if you dont fancy him then tell him but his age should not be a factor as such. if you were 40 and he 18 then i would understand

hmm at 18 i think most guys think females that pay them more than a little attention must be feeling some strong love for them lol even more so if his work mates are saying it as well
my guess is his ego is feeling a little bruised by your 'we're just friends" probably more so as you both have audience (work mates ) or even under a bit of pressure, because of the latter
your probably giving out mixed messages to him without realising it ask yourself this take away the age thing how do you feel ? huh ! strong enough to be writing about him, a little bit upset about his change in attitude towards hmmm now why is that ?
if there is only a few yrs between you whats the problem ?

| Why is it so hard to comprehend that a man and a woman can be platonic friends? Why must the woman be seen to be the one giving mixed messages? Is it the gal's fault if the guy's bredrins wanna be adding their likkle sheckles into someting that doesn't concern them? Is it the gal's fault if the man refuses to believe she only wants to be friends? Sounds like him and his friends are being immature and it's a case of the male ego being bruised, crushed, pulverised. Move along find someone else to chat to, and see how quickly he comes running back to u.
