hi, there are different ways of changing your name. you can go to a solicitor and get it changed straight away, but they do charge £42 and you get a certificate of your new name, or u can put an ad in the newspaper to say you have changed your name. or get a statutory declaration, not sure how much it costs. Hope this info is ok. peace

The electoral role
Doctor's
Dentist
Mortgage/ council
Bank
Passport
et al

If you do a deed poll search on the net they will give you more in depth details of what you are required to do...
