I was thinking on the lines of online gambling (working for them not betting!!)

BP - been working from home for the last 12 months or so and I tell you I'm still on my full salary and at times doing less than ten hours a week. I think pounds per hours done I'm probably the highest paid bro in the UK.....but it's so boring I've handed in my notice...with so much time on your hands all you think about is pu$$y...and with people like facetygal running up their mouth this is no time for weakness and man  there are some fit babymothers doing school runs round here I tell ya;)

Guess it all depends what job you can do. I went for an interview with these lot in Camden a couple of weeks ago http://www.pkr.com for an IT role...ironically after speaking about my work history, present and future their feedback was they think I'll get bored quite quickly of the role they are offering.

Looked a nice place to work though. You can try and see if they got any home work.

Also had an interview with betfair http://www.betfair.com in Hammersmith. They might have more in the way of home based options plus they also do this refer to  earn scheme where you can earn money just by getting people to sign up.

Hey Black_Power,

I work from home but for myself. Is this something you would consider? I mean you're good with cars right? Can you use your knowledge and skill to start anything up with that? If you can put a good value on your existing skills and pitch your services to the right people, you may not have to take a pay cut. In fact you may even be able to earn more!!

I saw an Ebay ad recently and thought of you:). They are looking for ad writers, not sure how much they were offering or whether it was working from home but the hours weren't f/t you may be able to do something as you're familiar with it.

Just some thoughts for now. If I think of any others I'll add of course:)

@Judge J: My business is in personal and professional development.

@Melissa: The ad was a leaflet in my local library. Hopefully I'll see it again before the deadline. I'm surprised that it's not on their siteconfused3

@BP: So how's the search going then?

@Melissa: The people advertising the vacancy seem to be an intermediary. The ad on the link doesn't mention that the salary is hourly up to £17,000 plus performance based incentive it seems.

http://www.auctioning4u.co.uk/Vacancies/Specialists/eBay_Lister(Part_Time__Full_Time__Weekends)/

Email your CV and cover letter to jobs@auctioning4u.co.uk

@Black_Power: Not sure how you would get to North Acton from where you are if you were interested lol.

Used to work in Acton. mad-moonie

Agree with incog, working from home can be unbeliveably LAME. No one around to disrupt or anything. Used to do consierge/security type work for a set of estates in wood green... they had a backroom, Tv, kitchen with a lounge and everything. Ace huh? All you gotta do is open the door for dumbasses who forgot their key, chat up a few gyal dem on the estate and see if you can sneak them into the backroom...

HELL NO!

I've never been so bored in my life, ended up sleeping in the back room on the sofa after munching out everyones food from the fridge out of pure boredom. Even had a dream about Jesus I was so bored (no lie). It was torture, started getting into sitcoms day and nightime Tv and all sorts. Think it was 144,000 or something... the one with the blonde alien girl running from the military. Trust me. The Apedemak daddy dosen't do sitcoms (not including X files and Lost)

Prefer getting out and about when working can't stand being cooped up in one place
all day.

Why not fix and sell imported cars?

Working from homes means working when you feel like it!

As long as the work is done the rest of the time is yours, I hate being cooped up in an office all damn day, and i'm so sick of commuting with nasty sweaty pork pie people on the tube.

tThanks for the link maat

BP - ?

Not necessarily - depends on what you do. There are deadlines to meet in most jobs, and if you don't do the work you don't get paid. It's been known for me to be working at midnight.

That said, I do not miss commuting at all....all those renk bodies in such a small space.....yuk!

True.

Guess is also depends on what work you did beforehand.

I have been known to leave the office at 10pm to meet a deadline or to wait for something from clients overseas.  Much prefer to be in my house waiting at 10pm then in an office an hour away from my bed.

@Melissa: I wish it were true that we can work when we want. I'mfinding that I sometimes have to work when I can. The rest of the time is centred around my family; 3 children, husband and home. It's tough. Especially as like Vezz said when you have to work until all hours of the morning tired or not.

I think I'll have to get an office soon though because being at home can also get you side tracked. I don't miss working full time but I do miss my team:) I used to resent not seeing daylight for long enough when I worked before. Now I try my best to keep business local so there's less time commuting.
