Have you seen the old man
In the closed-down market
Kicking up the paper,
with his worn out shoes?
In his eyes you see no pride
And held loosely at his side
Yesterday's paper telling yesterday's news
So how can you tell me you're lonely,
And say for you that the sun don't shine?
Let me take you by the hand and lead you through the streets of London
I'll show you something to make you change your mind
Have you seen the old girl
Who walks the streets of London
Dirt in her hair and her clothes in rags?
She's no time for talking,
She just keeps right on walking
Carrying her home in two carrier bags.
So how can you tell me you're lonely,
And say for you that the sun don't shine?
Let me take you by the hand and lead you through the streets of London
I'll show you something to make you change your mind
In the all night cafe
At a quarter past eleven,
Same old man is sitting there on his own
Looking at the world
Over the rim of his tea-cup,
Each tea last an hour
Then he wanders home alone
So how can you tell me you're lonely,
And say for you that the sun don't shine?
Let me take you by the hand and lead you through the streets of London
I'll show you something to make you change your mind
And have you seen the old man
Outside the seaman's mission
Memory fading with
The medal ribbons that he wears.
In our winter city,
The rain cries a little pity
For one more forgotten hero
And a world that doesn't care
So how can you tell me you're lonely,
And say for you that the sun don't shine?
Let me take you by the hand and lead you through the streets of London
I'll show you something to make you change your mind

Hey Lil thuggy, you've hit that horrid point - Bless you.
How long have you got to go? Maybe you need to let your hair down over the weekend just to relax and then your motivation and focus will resume. I know this workes for me...get out in the sun, have a picnic, go to a nice trendy bar; what ever you have'nt done for a while, just get away from the books for one day. I know the feeling when you are just consummed with deadlines, books and the like. Go treat your self girl...you deserve it.

little thug - I tend to think in extremes so the reality is that it never really gets quite as bad as my mind may think for me to loose total hope. Been there too many times to know suicide is not an option...there's always another corne to turn. When one door is closed many others are open..consciousness is a good tool for being able to see them.
But the thought that somewhere in the world there is at least one but probably millions of people worse of than me who have not given up hope tells me I have not yet earned the right to give up hope myself. In the extreme you may find you simply need to re-evaluate your dreams and your ambitions...in many cases to something more attainable.
Got a friend who always rings me with the very words 'I need some of our motivation'. The last time he rang I put it to him who does he thinks motivates the motivator. Or as most notably put in the opening scene from the film Rockers, 'Humble thyself and jah jah will guide I and I'

Thanks for the replies Incognito and BFG
I think I'm just having a low point, I think I need someone to do this to me>
I'm normally always motivated and enthusiastic about everything, so that's why this sudden de-motivation is strange for me.
Anyway I've woken up early and I'm going to do some work, I've just goto remind myself of the bigger picture at the end of it all.
Thanks again

Dunno.. sometimes when I hit a low point it works as a kind of booster, I know myself well enough to see the signs and pull out of it before it gets to me so I get active and busy myself anyway possible.
Notice that cleaning up helps, tend to spring clean my room from top to bottom even vacume the bed, do a bit of Fung-Shui, its like cleaning my mind no better feeling than sleeping in a (completely) clean room waking up after the insence has burnt out over the night and feeling brand new.
Other than that meditating really helps. Why not take up Yoga or something?

lilthuggy - it's all good...had enough blessings, good times and highs to know not to take the bad times and the lows too personally....which ever zone I'm in at any time, I know the other is just around the corner. Swings and roundabouts.

Lilthuggy you've just answered your own question. Also putting pen to paper to define the bigger picture helps as well.
