I got my first negative on EBay today and I am fuming a bit. The seller was a joker. I bought something from them in mid March and left feedback for the item before it was open. When I actually opened it was faulty and I contacted them to ask for a refund and i asked them if I could return it.

The seller said that i could return it and i did and they received it on the 23rd of March. I contacted them for a refund and they came up with another story that the item had to go to manufacturer. They told me to contact them a few days later and i did and the they told me to come back to them in a few days again. I did this and i got no response from them so i opened a Paypal case. I knew that this would mean that i would be left a negative but i wanted my money back and the man was messing me around.

From tomorrow it will be hard for me to get online as i will have no computer to use so i needed to sort out this case sooner rather than later.

I have left him a nasty reply to my neg and i am hoping that Ebay will remove the whole feedback as they may deem it as unacceptable language lol.

I don't really need advice just venting really i cannot concentrate on anything since i saw the neg.

Has anybody else had bad ebay experiences? I don't think that i will bother with it again. The man was messing me around because i left him feedback first no doubt.

I got scammed before on Ebay but i fought back through Paypal and got my money back.

I think that i will unregister from there.

Go through eBay to get the negative fb reversed.

They'll sort it out.

As an aside, I've just sold something and the buyer looks like he ain't paying, but I have faith.......:D

Thanks Vezz it was plain and simple retaliation. I was stupid to leave the feedback before opening the item but it was a gift to myself with my birthday money and i didn't want to open it yet and i thought that everything would be ok. It is a bit upsetting all this.

Paypal granted me a full refund today and that is good but as soon as i got the refund the seller left me negative feedback. They lied about what went on as well in the feedback that they left for me. I had been contacting them for days trying to sort out a refund and they claimed that i only waited one hour for a response before i started my Paypal dispute.

I feel like signing him up for spam but i will not.

I emailed Ebay to see if i can get the feedback removed because of what you wrote but then i read this and i think that nothing may come of it now.

Vezz i hope that your buyer pays up for you and the sale goes through ok.

Thanks for your help.

I just logged into Ebay and saw that i got a non payer strike. Because i got my money back the seller lodged a non paying bidder today and they got their listing fee money back and i got a strike but will appeal against that. I am not even sure it is even worth it.

I find eBay a double-edged sword at times. You can get real bargains (46" rear projection tv - brand new- £390) or not (pram parasol that didn't fit, charger for a Gameboy that was simply converted from a 2 pin plug, so didn't fit the socket).

I got a negative feedback 2 years ago. I bought and paid for a Gameboy for my son's birthday, only for the seller to say they were "out of stock". I was so mad I left a negative feedback, only for them to retaliate and say I was unreasonable as they'd given me a full refund. Is it unreasonable to expect someone to sell something they said they had? Anyway, out of 52 positive and 1 negative, my feedback score is only 98%....

Anyway, I hope you responded to the seller's feedback, and good luck if you do decide to pursue it.

I don't trust e-bay. If I want anything from there I get someone I know who's already registered to get it for me.
