I'm having very serious problems passing this test, i have done it a good amount of times now, i'm failing on silly things, the joke about it is on the way to the test centre i have little to no problems, i have been able to drive for over 2 years and drive around like its nothing. but for the life of me i dont appear to be passing this test!!!
my foot just shakes on the clutch, stalling, the whole 9!! i've been grinding for 2 years and still no license, its poor alie. my instructor maybe recommeded that i take paracetamol, cos apparently it calms the nerves, but im anti paracetamol.
any suggestions pls??

Yep - calm down. 
Also, I don't know if you live in North London, but if you do, DO NOT use Wood Green driving centre as you wouldn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of passing there.
I should have passed on my second attempt but the b**tard went and failed me for something so stupid....despite the fact that I drove damn near perfect and only had two minor ticks on my sheet.

Ahh bless Ms Legs. How about taking a swing of the hard stuff b4 hand just to steedy your nerves mind you! Or you might want to just focus on the amount of money you are wasting with all these test's - god knows there not exactly cheap, just to give yourself a reality check - money could be going towards a new ride! You have probably picked up bad habbits over the two years. Good luck, you can do it.
@PH My friend just passed in Woody after a fair few attempts - so you are right.

Thanks for the replies folks, money has been a very big factor, n everytime I go for the test I think i'll smack it up but to no avail. i have picked up a few bad habits, but i'm not that bad, just sick n tired of riding dirty. kmt.
but keep the replies coming.
@BFG i was going to actually going to blaze a zoot, even though i don't touch the stuff, I wouldn't wanna drink as I'm such a light weight, i'll be driving in a zig zag!!

this thread makes me feel so much better well rather normal
i have failed a few times on silly small things, i swear one guy just failed me for the sake of it
now i have to do my bloody theory again. crumbs
passing my test would mean i make an instant saving on monthly expenses. public transport and taxis is expensive imo

Which one?? If its South Norwood don't bother theres one guy there that prides himself on failing people.....Hither Green is cool but its a big area so make sure you got that covered....I passed at Croydon but not many people like it there because of that mad roundabout......I don't really know about Sidcup apart from the dual carriageways so unless your confident don't bother go there....On my test day my instructor gave me some pills to calm my nerves and they worked....go to u'r Dr and explain your situation to him/her and they'll give you something.....Good luck

thanks lady stirrer, did one in S Norwood last week, the man failed me nicely, i had another man, he was really nice but kept on stalling.
Theres this one mother effer at croydon, had him TWO times would u believe!! He failed me nicely, on the second attemp I was gonna smash his head through the wind screen and his knew this, He was a dickhead though kmt.
Did my first ever driving test at hither green, but I only did it just to prove a point to my instructor. Thats actually where i have my next test so now i have to get my bay parking on lock. ive only done them in South norwood, croydon n hither green.
I like croydon though, Lord knows I've had enough tries there.
@ Lady day, my theory test also expired in Jan, so i redid it quick fast but i passed by one mark imagine. I spend £200 a month on transport, I just feel like the bank of england, imagine. It's cheaper for me to run a car and pay the insurance monthly. pissed

Never say never dads.......I hear they are going to impliment a new driving law stating we will all have to do our driving tests to renew our licenses every 10 years starting from next year......

Damn......I bet they all know your name in those test centres......Try wearing a short skirt this time around But seriously......Only go to Hither green if you know Lewisham, Blackheath, Hither Green and that dual carriage way that leads up to woolwich because there are loads of one way systems...

that's to keep 95 year olds who cant see over the steering wheel from driving in front of you at 10mph... I can walk faster that some of those elders can drive.

| @all they are making pass plus compulsory, they will give it a new name i believe it begins in 2008 so all newly passed drivers will have to take 10 more lessons after getting the pink card. i aim for this year to pass

| i want to take up my lessons again. Can anyone recommend a school? I am in south east london. I am looking at Lady lanes. They charge £23 for Saturdays (only day i can do regualry) but they only give 50 minuts, not a full hour.

Hi MB, erm I think you're getting skanked. I pay £21 for a full hour, but havin said that I don't do Saturday lessons.
I would give u my driving instructors number but hes special, in the sense u couldn't give him all the carpets in china to work on a saturday.
Why not try Roberts driving school?? theres a few others will give them to u tomoz!!
You could even try Des O'Connors, but boy i dunno, they drive corsas

I know exactly how you fell MZ legz I passed 4th time, I was so bloody nervous everytime I took the damn test, i was beginning to wonder if i'd ever pass,( my granny passed 7th time! back in the 70s) . I passed in Southall West London.
For me the best method to calm those nerves were eating loadsa bananas, I ate a couple before my test apparently, they have some kind of substance in them which helps calm nerves- just type it into google you'll see, I tried it and it worked a treat for me 
Failing that you could try Bach's rescue remedy - lots of my firends swear by this - you can by it at Boots

| Went up for the test (again), had the same man who had failed me twice in the past. its now three times. I just dont know now boy. 5minors, 1major for meeting traffic, pissed.think im gonnna buy an international license next time one of the reletives goes to naija cos this is nonsense!!

@BFG, I dont believe that they randomly pick my name from a hat, cos 3 times is just some serious bad luck boy.
This happened at Croydon, but for some strange reason i really love that test centre. i've even rebooked my next test for there. i dont if the man was being unfair, my driving instructor said he doesnt recognise me but i threatened to smash his face off the nearest hard surface *embrassed face* on the last test, he blatantly remembers me.
But its one of those things that u just have to keep going boy
