| Ok, we have a mouse in our apartment. Little son of a gun is so fast that even if u turn your head to look it is on the run. We put down mouse traps with cheese first, then bread, peanut butter.... little frigger won't take the bait. Any advice?

Any cheap takeaway chicken and chips @ £1.99
These type of food would sure as hell kill it in no time

 Fill all the holes, put poison down and you've already used traps. You could use ultrasonic sounds, but they're pricey.
They are supposed to be attracted by dirt/rubbish etc, so make sure all things of interests to them are cleared.
Call out 'rent- a-kill', but they can only do what you had done.
There is one bizarre thing I heard, that was to use coke, (the drink) as a bait, apparently because they cannot burp, gas builds up inside them and eventually kills them.
If all else fails - move!

athaba I don't like the idea of having a mouse drinking coke and exploding on my carpet, because he can't burp out the air (sounds very messy LOL). But the KFC one wasn't too bad as I've heard that mice prefer meat to cheese, so instead of leaving cheese in the mouse trap it's better to leave some boiled ham or smoked bacon etc.

| my gran used a poison that when the mouses were dying you see them croaking it. but it took care of the problem. fumagation is your next problem. i would love a cat as a pet.

Here's what my mum did when we had mice in our house.
Basically, she bought rat poison and laid it out and that didnt work because the mice knew what it was so they knew to aviod it so my mum went on better. she got some jollof rice, mashed it together with some poison in the middle and then put it in the places where they would hang out. Needless to say, soon enough we could smell the bodies and pretty soon we found them too. And they havent come back either!
I know not everyone has jollof so take some regular food and mix it with the poison, to the point where you cant see it and then leave it out, give it a month and you'll see results! Thats Fernando guaranteed!!! lol

My girlfriend wants to avoid poison as she doesnt want to have a dead mouse in the apartment. But may have to resort to that as it seems to avoid all the traps we have placed so far. Clever mouse!

| You should try and place the mouse traps in the places you mainly find the droppings and areas which are secluded as that were it will be hiding or moving about so places like behind fridge or a chair.

Yes, success....kinda. We put down these glue traps in the kitchen and Sunday night caught a baby mouse in one of them. Momma mouse is still elusive at the moment.
Hmm..glue trap. I think Precious Stone needs one of them too, to help keep her trap shut

Jokes aside I had that problem a few years ago and it was distressing. Embarassing, shameful not to mention i was scared of them.
I tried everything;
poison (They ate it and didn't die)
Borrowed my girls cat (It was lazy and made me sneeze)
Borrowed my friends Staff (It barked and made noise but wasn't fast enough)
Called exterminators (Mice came back a week later)
After many other attempts to get rid of them (some are listed by other members) none of which worked, I had to conclude that there was only one thing to do and that was move. I upped and moved to another place, If those vermin are determined to stay and spar then thats what they're gonna do. Your endeavours will only tire you mentally and upset you with your constant faliure because you can't free yourself of mice. You have to leave and let them win.
I didn't try a snake though (too squeamish) that may help if you can stomach them
