Hi guys, does any one remember the track 'walk on by' Dionne Warick sang the original (Burt.B) But there is a wicked reggae version. I notice that there are loads of versions out there but this one was unique in the sence it was one of those old basement type tracks, you know when they use the drum sticks to count you in, 1 2 3, then the beat of the music started, real 70's 80's British style reggae (if you know what I mean). I think it was sang in the late 1970's / 1980's. Can you help me to name the artist, (I want that track) not actually sure if it was a man or woman. I wish I could sing it, as this might prob memory.
Thank you in anticipation

@ Blessingfromgod
I have vague recollection that there was a reggae version done by female group by the name of Motion or In Motion or something like that. I believe it was a track on a compilation album so that's why the name escapes me for now. If the cobwebs clear from my brain and I remember more clearly I will get back to you.
Respect

Thank you Backatcha. The name Motion/In motion sounds quite familiar, I think you are right. Bless you.
I'm going to see if LimeW... have anything under that name. I look forward to the album name. Thank you.

It's a 12" single by Motion; pretty certain they're a UK band. Used to have that track - might still if I have a look. They did a nice version of 'No Man Is An Island' which I do have.
There is another reggae version by J J Denton on a 7", but the Motion version is better.
