Right about now come in like seh I'm coming too correct and no one wants to free up and tell me what they're under.
Just got off the phone with my sis. Journalist in a large media corporation being treated like little blackie sambo N****r in the corner and patronised within an inch of her sanity. Then there's my teacher friend. Teaches in a inner city school, school's decided to put all the African refugee children, and recent African arrivals, in the same class to play all day. This madness ain't happening to the white eastern Europeons. Teacher friend points out that the kids are all at school to learn. Headteacher tells her she's, somehow, got a chip on her shoulder. Now all the white teachers at the school, and the step n fetchit black ones, ain't talking to her.
Next friend, works in a all white team with neo-nazi right wing new, 'I'm always right, you're always wrong', labourites. They think it's fine to tell her, with authority of course, that 'black people don't crack' and refuse to accept that black people have got skin care lock down and could destroy L'oreal if they came upfront.
So here I am. Chat room virgin who needs your help. I wanna know what you're under. Forget the Equal Opps Commission, CRE and Trevor - I've crossed over to the max next to Diane - Phillips. Stats don't say jack. Just lets the people who think they're across it tut and big up their own self cos' they ain't treating their black staff like that...in their minds.
This vicious, spirit breaking, relentless, subtle new PC racism is almost worse than the first immigrants got when they arrived and had to swing their matchetes and stand their ground. Why should we have to work smarter, harder than everyone else? Why should we have to always prove ourselves or find our way through the maze of people's crap. Is that what we deserve?
A different kind of slavery is at work. And. Reasonable one. It ain't exclusive to black people. True. But. Trust me. As my sis just said: I feel like I'm stripped of everything I am. Trying to climb out but I'm flailing.
We all moan about work. But who on a Monday morning feels themselves bringing new emphasis to the lyrics of Sizzla and Capleton? How many times a day do you have waves of real rage? How many times do you feel isolated, powerless and insignificant? If you're lucky, and things are going well for you, what's your strategy, what's your attitude?
Reasonable one. The kiss teet massive don't make it easy for themselves. I agree. We do have a lot to learn and many of us have to change our ways. Bouncing in late, chatting on the phone, emailing all day, seriously dodgy outfits that you should only wear in your ends. You can't flex certain ways at work.
What you saying black people? You telling me you love your job? Ain't no one out there on the battlefield without no shield? I n I don't come to fight flesh and blood but spiritual wickedness in high and low places, our managers and our colleagues badmind faces?
I really wanna hear your stories. Are you ready to share?

My friend is taking one of the largest social housing corporations to tribuneral on the grounds of racial discrimination. In fact, there are 3 of them in the same department going through this, and it has not been easy. Funny, they tried to enlist the help of the CRE, but they were not interested as the case was not high profile!
Politics, it's everywhere. The higher you get in your profession the harder it gets for you.
I say more Black businesses.

You'd be suprised just how common this stuff is, believe me, since finishing my degree and progressing on to postgraduate education and having friends who are going into professional jobs, I hear this ALL the time, its nothing new.
