I have to move to London in January, so i started looking for apartments. But i need some help on good internet sites, as i want to search for my new home before i consult an agent.
i've only just found Foxtons.co.uk and findaproperty.com or let's say these are the two which i liked best. I want to see pictures and not just plain description, so do you know any other London-sites which might be helpful?
But i already have two questions. On one website, i've read something about "council tax per year", what does it mean? and another question regarding the communal gardens, (i'm a fan of kensington, so i wanna move there) are you allowed to BBQ in such a garden? silly question but i'd prefer a flat with patio garden but in that case i do not have to look for a flat with patio garden.
thanks a lot...

Oh jesus..hes coming to London Good god nooooo
Just kidding...lol
Anyways, here is what Council Tax Means
http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/life/tax/council_tax.htm
And as far as i know, you can't really do much with communal gardens...look for a flat with your own little garden, but seeing that you want to stay in Kensington, you better have a nice old BIG account for that type of property....but seeing that you've already started with super posh Estate Agent Foxtons, i would presume you are aware of the prices around Kensington.

Foxstons was the second website on my google list....
So there are cheaper flats in London?
But it's okay...people have been complaining for years but thanks to the Euro, i will get more space in London for less money. So why would i complain? I am really surprised, looks like flats in Paris have become more expensive than in London...damn..I can search the perfect place with a quite comfortable budget, as the rent is getting paid by my firm and i might add the extra for my little garden.
council tax is crap...so i will have to pay it, if i remain resident in Paris. So now i will have to move to London and do all these burocracy stuff and get an official statement that i no longer reside in Paris
