Ok this is hardly dilema of the century, more of a quick question :D
My aunt is getting married next month and the dress I have fallen in love with is black. Everyone says you can't wear black to a wedding but I plan to brighten it up with some pastel pink accesorys. I've even seen the perfect pink shoes to match.
so what say you BNV? Can I get away with wearing black to a wedding??

Apart from the last one:Pall three are very suitable for weddings. If it was me i would stick with the one you originaly wanted. It would flatter your figure and with colourfull accessories, it will be a killer. Even if you wear it with black shoes......just make sure the shoes is fabulous;)

Oh yes....you and your 30% discount, lucky girl!

Anyways, your dress....i would go for black, but if you have to compromise with mumsy, then the green first one is also fab. Just make sure it goes with your skin tone though......green is one of those colors that HAS to go with one's skin tone or you'll end up looking weird.

Please stick with the black one***hides from Mumsy***bighairlol

lol! u can stop hiding, it was the blue two-peice one that you both said no to. I'm actually leaning more and more towards the patturned one. I think it looks cute. Irronically, I was hopin my hair would co-operate enough to me to have the style for the wedding and then i look in the catalogue and see a nice dress with the same hair style. it must be an omen! not sure if my "chest area" would co-operate with that dress tho :(

Well if you have any worry that you will be uncomfortable with it, then you should think twice before buying it. Since its your Aunty's wedding, you don't want to walk around not feeling comfy because you might be required to help around a little.

From what i know, i am not sure if its your body type kind of dress;) I have been looking at them over and over, and the more i look, the more i am sticking with your first choice.

Maybe other ladies should come over....i am hopeless with fashion after all:(

Where is Abs et all?

just my personal opinion:

I'm not really feeling dress No 1.  Green is my least favourite colour and i don't like the waiste part: seems like it wouldn't be good on someone with wide hips.

I like No 2 the best!!  or you could just say the hell with the dress and get those shoes!!!  (i love me my ribbon/tie details!) .  People say black is inappropriate for weddings as they associate it with funerals.  But since that is not the type of dress you would wear to a funeral (unless you were glad the person was dead!!) then i think it will be OK with the right accecories.  (and the shoes!)

I liked No 3. but think it would be better suited to a summer garden party than a wedding.  doesn't seem "dressy" enough for me, unless it is a dressy/cas affair.

i liked No 4.  would look great with right shoes and hair style.

Ok i went to next and tried on the  Jade green dress. It was surprisingly flattering! They didn't have any of the others tho so I have decided to order the patturned one and if I don't like it, will exchange for the Jade dress.

I've kinda been put off the black dress too. Since its gonna be a summer wedding, I may well roast to death and I wanna look a bit more summery. but I think I may treat myself to it for another occasion. Like the hen night :D

Man I'm all confused! I just looked at it and now i really want it again! Mez is right. It will go with my figure more than the patturned one...

TESCO!? Ok soulstarr is sucessfully put off the patturned dress!

Well that was always my orriginal plan since I'm an accesory queen but people kept puttin me offf. I think I will order it tho. I saw the perfect shoes in hubbys shop that I can get and base my colours around that.
Honestly, i dunno why i create these dilemas for myself. I always end up going for my original choice :D

But missus yu really need the figure for dem dress deh..otherwise nuh badda wid it!!! LOL
I have the figure dammit! :P is proof yu want?? :P
