I don't know if this is really in the right topic area, but I didn't know where else to post it.
Anyway, I've been staying with my sister for just under a year now. I've come to the point where I no longer want to impose on her new family; I have actually been made aware that she wants me out!!! - But that's another story.
Anyway, I was wondering if anybody could recommend me any letting agencies, landlords etc.
I am only temping at the moment and do not earn a lot of money, and in September, I'll be starting my PGCE and therefore will not be earning anything, but living off the bursary, which is not much at all.
Basically, I'm looking for somewhere cheap; I don't mind a flatshare (as I know that it's often cheaper).
Can anybody help?
Thank you

If you are doing PGC soon you could apply for a place in halls. You do pay rent, but it is relativly cheap and i think you may get extra in your bursary/loan to cover it.
Alternativly tou could od what i did and get the lists of landlords near your uni who are loking for students to rent. The downside is you come across alot of dives and may end up living with strangers u don't get on with. But you will be so busy it won't matter!
I lucked out and got a nice flat in a nice area. wasn't cheap (can't remember exactly, but less than £300 a month each), but i was sharing rent and bills with two others. with the bursary and loan i managed.
depending on where you are, i think a studio is the cheapest accomodation if you want to live alone. But even those are pricey in London. Plus alot of landlords take liberties and list what are basically bedsits as "studio apartments" lol

Thanks for that piece of advice MB. I'm gonna try what you said; O'm about to phone the uni now, but it's a very small uni, so I really doubt that they do halls.
I don't know any friends that are willing to rent and i don't know any students yet, as the course stars in September.
