I've decided to ditch the Focus and get one of the 3 cars above.
I know I would be doing the environment much good, and ol' Ken's gonna hate me, but I don't care & need some advice from the car-mad people on this site.
Which one's the best? How do I find out about insurance groups? Know of any good car dealers local to South London? etc etc
Help much appreciated....
Oh, and I'm not spending more than £4,000 cash (can't be doing with no finance!)

There was a nice BMW going for £1,750, but because of the kids....
I agree the CRV is wicked. I saw a black one, S reg, going for £2,995. I think it must have high mileage but will call the dealer tomorrow.
The Honda is in group 10 insurance-wise. Is that good?
Actually, I've just seen the dash on this car - pretty boring if you ask me! I hope the others are up to scratch!

That's a pretty useful site to use. It has reviews of most makes/models of cars and what you can expect to get for your money. The owners review section is particularily useful, as it contains unbiased reviews by people who have actually owned certain cars and that can be a good indication as to whether to buy it or not.

| LadyDay; if I may..If you're going to buy an older secondhand car..methinks you ought to concentrate on reliability, the cost of spare part and servicing and practability...it may look good but if it cost you an arm and a leg to maintain..why do it?

Because I don't want any finance and none of these cars are within my price range.
Also, they look like people carriers. I want a 4x4.
