Kunfuju...... I disagree with you.

The King of reliablity is Honda. Toyota is not bad at all, it comes very close, but honda is No1 for reliablity

LadyDay,

Baby Vee's M&P pram fits in the boot of my Focus, plus I could get a week's shopping in there. I would avoid fold flat prams and go for the umbrella folding type.

Miss Nellia,

My sister said that she wants to be a mechanic. When I asked her why she said because she is so tired of the guys thinking she's stupid ( when it comes to her cars).

If you're a woman going to take your cars to the shop or even if you're a man who doesn't know diddly about your cars, you need to be very careful. Mechanics will take advantage of the naive( or the supposedly naive). Too often with women, they htink that we know nothing about cars. I laugh at that at times. I remembed going with my sister to a Good Year shop. I will admit to not being an expect at cars, but the problem was so simple that she only needed  spark plugs( Iforgot what it was). Anyways, the mechanic wanted to make it seem that she needed much more and wanted charge her much more than what it was required to put in the plugs. The nest thing I knew my sister asked the guy" You must thing that I 'm that freakin stupid don't ya? " and she explained why. That man was just as big eyed and bug-eyed and surrendered the truth out of him. Yes ,my sister is a woman , but what he didn't know was that 1) When my sister was little she used to observe my father fixing( and educating her about them)  and secondly, she almost has her certificate in automechanics( or what ever they call the major). She could have did it herself, but she had a couple of broken fingers at the time.

If you go through this again, it's best to carry you a man who knows about cars or get more educated about them. Some Mechanic love to prey on unsuspecting people.

PS. My post isn;t meant to disrespect men as I would never do( Unless, I'm being disrespected). My post is just about an example experience that my sister went though.

I know exactly what you are saying and there is a market for such a women's master class in the basics in auto mechanics, it is something I would definitely be interested in.

I took my Focus to the mechanic last week and decided to wait while they looked for the problem, they brought out this hand held computer devise plugged it in, I helped him locate my car model and make on the computer, it came up with the fault and then the computer gave the option to correct problem..... it was fixed in 30 secs flat, now if I hadn't have been there or if the man knew fully how to use the device, I would have been charged an arm and a leg.  Needless to say I left without paying a penny. I was soooooo surprised at how quick and easy it was for the mechanic who just sat in my car the whole time, he did not lift up the bonnet once.
