I know this sounds crazy....but I'd really like to meet a normal, tall 6ft+ professional black man, who's not looking for a relationship.......for friendship. Maybe you're in a relationship yourself and who like another woman's opinion from time to time. who knows, we may even get on and become great friends........
I'm already in a relationship so I'm definately not looking for another.....but I would like to hang out with another guy sometimes....just as friends.

Yes, my man should be my best friend....he was at one time. But not now. We still 'talk' but we don't hang out and have fun anymore.....he says he's content to stay in. I am not content. I'm sooo bored! Right now I'm surfing this website whilst he's asleep next door.....he went to bed at 9pm!!

I believe men and women think differently. To understand my men, I need to understand how 'men' think. And yes, I could just try talking to him but I don't think i'll get the truth. He'll just tell me what he thinks I want to hear beacause he's emotionally involved with me, whereas a male friend would just tell it like it is.

Surely if you are seeking a platonic relationship with a man, you should choose someone who is from your neighbourhood or a colleague? basically someone you already know rather than a stranger off the internet?
And if the relationship is to be platonic, and you already have a man, why would your potential male friend need to be 6ft +?!?!
Now if you were simply looking for a guy to exchange e mails/personal messages with to get a male perspective from time to time, then i would understand. And then how tall he was and even whether or not he was "proffesional" wouldn't matter!

I don't want this 'special' male friend to be someone that my man may know or meet at a work do. It would be awful to be talking about him to someone that he may know. And the reason I prefer this potential friend to be tall is quite simply bevause I do hope we could eventually hang out and I like to wear high heels.

lol well i have to honestly say that i am one of these people who, when i am looking for a partner then yes i will look for certain attributes.
But when i am looking for a friend, or more correctly when i feel like i want to make that kind of connection with someone, be they male or female, then i am looking at their personality.
I am looking to see what we have in common. I am looking to see if they can make me laugh. I am looking to see if they can listen as well as talk. What they look like or do for a living are the last things i look for when looking for a friend.
Just seems to me, as you say, that girl fridays eyes are starting to wonder. She wants the "commitment" of her currant boyfrined, while looking for the "fun" aspect of the relationship from someone else. Of course i could be wrong.

sorry but i still don't get why he needs to be tall whether you are in heels or not. He is your friend, not your partner. Will you be kissing him? dancing closely with him? why is it necessariy for a "friend" to have this physical attribute? Are your female friends all 6ft +!??!

lol i can see you are only interested in MEN, but as a female i WILL give you this piece of advice: If you are having problems in your relationship the last thing you need to be doing is getting friendly with another man, let alone actually seeking out another man, whether or not your only motive is friendship.
And the LAST thing you should be doing is talking to another man about your relationship problems unless they are your father, brother or cousin.
And if all you want is a male perspective, why not just post your problems right here? we got plenty of opinionated men who would be happy to oblige!! And nobody knows you, so embaressment is minimal.
But hey,its your relationship at stake so... 
and sorry to disappoint you, DM, but i am a lil too grown for catfighting, especially on the 'net  but i'll have some o' that popcorn though...!!

I'm with him because I love him. Period. A break down in communication is not reason enough to end a relationship. He's a good man who I believe adores me......He chased after me for absolutely ages and was very very charming. But when he eventually 'broke me down' and I fell inlove with him, he started to relax...alittle too much. Now 3yrs later things are very hum drum.

OK, thanks for the advice but each man, (or woman) must do as they feel fit. And I believe by having a platonic male friend who knows the score upfront, will actually benfit my relationship. I would not want to discuss my issues with my man with any family member. It would only be natrual for their opinion to be in my favour as their alligence is to me, not him.

how will this help u to understand ur man? one man can not tell you how ur man feels about you and ur relationship... just my take...
if he wont tell you the truth...means he is a liar...
tough words...but cut ur loses ...keep it moving before you cheat...cause u are already wanting to open up to a man you dont know to solve a problem he knows nothing about....and u will find one who will take advantage of ur situation....

I too am not a male, 6ft, or into cat fights however I believe you are making a mistake, fare enough you want a male perspective however why not speak to men you already know and if you aint got none meet some, the internet is not the way, fare enough post it on here in the advice section but to meet a brother and go out for drinks, meals or whatever, you are crazy, do you want your man to break up with you? yeah he maybe boring but at least he aint cheating or out there taking a women out and wining and dinning her, how would you like that, there are so many cheaters out there you are so ungrateful, as you said he treats you welland he is probably asleep at 9.00pm no dount cause he has been at work all day, if you dont want to be with him then fine but dont string him along or you may well find what comes around goes around and a man on this net may string you along but this is at the very least there are some sick people out here. There aint enough brothers as it is so if you dont want your one let him go, disrespecting your man by wanting to meet a brother on the net, you aint even seen, you are out your mind, confused and stupid, you may as well go through the voice and put a ad in the looking for a man section, what if you meet a man from the net and your man dumbed you? well good it would serve you right.!!!!!!!!!!
