I have a personal problem with the scent of my skin after I washed it. I'm fine for a couple of hours, but all of a sudden I'm aware of a smell I personally don't like. I use plenty of deodorant, shower twice a day, wear light(not heavy) perfum(and carry it with me to work), don't use bodylotion(because it blocks the pores). My diet doesnt contain hot spices, garlic, alcohol, too much salt.

Jett Black 's comment about good smell results from 90% diet and 10% hygiene, really made sense to me. But it doesn't seem to apply to me.

I heard(at perfum department store) that caucasian skin has a higher pH worth, then african/dark skin. I don't really believe the "skin scent problem"is due to the fact that I'm caucasian, but could the "sourness" of a skin cause a smell somehow. I know that I can't wear all types of perfum, it clashes with some perfumes like Channel NO5.

I've tried everything from washing with a hard scrub/sea-salt, to changing my diet. It doesn't seem to work. I'm really self-conscious about it, and I feel to embarrassed to consult a physician for advice.:(

well its true that whites have higher PH in their skin than Blacks, that means theres a higher acid.....but would it lead to the funky smell?? I doubt it, otherwise the whole of europe and U.S would have gassed us by nowconfused2

i think you should go and see a doctor, because bad B.O can also note that theres something wrong internal

not trying to be racist or anything, but if you really believe you have BO due to your  white skincolor, why dont you ask other white people ? Anyway if I were you I would visit a doctor straightaway!
