1) Places of interest ( relaxation and history, I'm not into the raving scence)
2) Best Beaches?
3) Trouble Hotspots

 Hey girl! I had the misfortune of going to Zante (Laganas) in August 2003. I had one of the worst weeks of my life. The people were very rude/racist and the place was a complete dive! We woke up at 5am to go on a boat trip and the coach drove past us twice and refused to pick us up~even though we had paid and was waving our tickets at the driver!
The beaches were nasty and full of condoms. There were no trouble hotspots, just the usual drunken louts.
I was not impressed at all and would not recommend the place at all, but hey it might have changed since then.

I also know someone that had a really bad experience in Zante - racist attack. I went and had an ok time. Just chilled at the beach and went on a couple excursions but didnt stray too far from the hotel or a rep.
It was like anywhere in Europe. Some were friendly - some werent. But v cheap holiday.

never been to Zante, but have been to Greece with family and Turkey with friends. They're kind of similar, both Greece men/Turkish men were aggressively coming on to us like we owe them something, I had the feeling they only see Black women in videos as hoes. Very racist people and not afraid to show it. I think it's worse for Black women , they know not to mess with Black men. So hopefully you're accompanied by your man/cousin or simply any brother

Hey all, thank you for your replies.......
I'm in Zante at the moment, accessing my beloved BLACKNET in the hotel lobby. I'm staying in the Canadian Hotel in Laganas. I'm here with three of my BEST girlfriends and they're children, although there's not much for them to do. We've had a brilliant day at the beach , (only a 5 minute walk from my hotel) . When we left London it was pissing it down, and though I was born in January I am definitely not a winter person. Loving the sun right now. 
@ Emra9, the men have been ok, with our group. I had one today , bothering me at the BEACH tru I was loooking all fly in my bikini, but a firm and polite, leave me the F**K alone, let him know where he stood. It's 2 weeks or so until the end of season, so right now everyone is being SUPER nice. The resort closes down soon until next summer so this is the last set of money they're going to get.
Lots of cheap food., booze ...( NO CHICKEN, bird flu and all that), and cheap shoppping. I arrived yesterday afternoon and will be here until next week Thursday. I'm going on a boat trip tomorrow which I'm really looking forward to ( want to see smugglers cove) So , so far so good. If I have any problmes I let you all know.
